You Were Created for a Purpose
Now we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this surpassingly great power is from God and not from us. (2 Corinthians 4:7)
My child, my precious child, I created you in My image – I call you perfect and beautiful in every way. Why do you feel unqualified for My blessing or the great plan I have for you? Throughout all time I have selected and chosen those the world would call unqualified. Take a good look at Peter and John. After My Son’s death, burial and resurrection they were preaching the gospel with boldness in the city. Council Members marveled; they could not deny the miracles that took place when Peter and John spoke My Word. They called them ignorant and unlearned men, but they recognized they had been with Jesus. (Acts 4:8-14) Moses felt unqualified because he stuttered. (Exodus 4:10-13) Gideon said he didn’t have the right family background. (Judges 6:11-40) Jeremiah thought he was a helpless child. (Jeremiah 1) Paul described himself as the chiefest among sinners and least of all the apostles. (1 Corinthians 15:9-11, 1 Timothy 12:12-17)
Everyone, including the Prophet Samuel, thought David wasn’t qualified to become a King; but I thought differently! (1 Samuel 17) I created them with a plan and a job to do; no one else could do it. Similarly, it is with you; I have a plan and a job for you, and no one else can do it! (Jeremiah 1:5, 29:11-13) Each was doubted, and they even doubted themselves, but I prepared them through the fire. (Proverbs 17:3) I refined them. The world looks at your outer appearance, but I look at your heart. (1 Samuel 16:7) Remember the refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, (Proverbs 17:3, 27:21) but I the Lord your God try your heart. So, if you have been walking through a great challenge – you are being qualified for the plan I have for you!
