You Can Have it All
Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?” God said to Solomon, “Since this is your heart’s desire and you have not asked for wealth, possessions or honor, nor for the death of your enemies, and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people over whom I have made you king, therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, possessions and honor, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have.”
(2 Chronicles 1:10-12)
My child, when you come into My presence and come close to Me – be still and listen for I will whisper to you. (Psalms 46:10) I am raising you up and equipping you to be a leader in your sphere of influence. Rather than busy-ing yourself – spend time in My presence. I know the cares and conditions of this world. Nothing has changed from the beginning of time. I am reminded of the petitions of a few of My servants throughout history, they could have asked for anything and I would have granted it. Instead, pay attention to a few of their requests:
1. Abraham requested, ‘Help me follow You.’ (Genesis 12:1-9)
2. Moses asked Me, ‘Help me free Your people.’ (Exodus 33:12-23)
3. David requested, ‘Help me slay the giant threatening Your people.’
(2 Samuel 21:15-22)
4. Esther asked, ‘Help me save your people.’ (Esther 4)
5. Solomon requested, ‘Give me the wisdom to rule your people.’ (1 Kings 3:1-15)
6. Isaiah asked, ‘Give me clean lips to speak Your words.’ (Isaiah 6:5)
7. Peter requested, ‘Help me feed Your sheep.’ (John 21:15-17)
8. My Son Jesus wept ‘Help Me show them Your Love.’ (John 11:35)
Those who are wise ask for noble things of Me, My Son was a leader, He asked Me for healing, forgiveness, and love. At a young age, He declared His assignment on earth: The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed Me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released, and prisoners will be freed. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies. To all who mourn in Israel, He will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory. (Isaiah 61:1-3) This assignment is for you today! My Spirit is upon you, the field is white and ready for harvest around you as you reach out to those who are hurting in your sphere of influence. (Matthew 9:35-38) Be wise when you pray and ask Me noble things and I will give you the desires of your heart.
