Walk in Your Authority
Precious one, it is time to walk in the same Authority Jesus walked in. He’s given it to you. He said, ‘I have appointed you for the very purpose of displaying My power to spread My fame throughout the earth.’ (Romans 9:17) He said, “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in Me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in My name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. (John 14:12-13) Jesus imparted all power and authority, first to His disciples as He commissioned them, saying, ‘All power has been given to Me in heaven and earth. Go, therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20) He replied, ‘I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” (Luke 10:18-20)

He imparted His power and authority first to the disciples commissioning them to go into all the world and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and then to the body of Christ (that’s you and I) in Acts 2. We have been commissioned to “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38) And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these miraculous signs shall accompany those who believe, they will cast out demons in My name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.” (Mark 16:15-18). We have the power and authority of God through the Holy Spirit. The Greek word for Holy Spirit is Parakletos, which means “one called to stand next to you as a helper”. He is our Counselor, Comforter, Advocate, Helper. The Holy Spirit goes with you everywhere you go, and He helps you. Walk in the power and authority you have been given!
