Using the Name of Jesus
A thief has only one thing in mind-he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect-life in its fullness until you overflow! (John 10:10 The Passion Translation)
My beloved child, there is a force so vast in its power that it is victorious over any problem and trial or situation you encounter. Demons flee from it, sickness and dis-ease cannot remain in the face of it, lack and fear dissipate before it, and every darkness is destroyed and cannot remain in the light. Death itself cannot contend with it. What is it? It’s the name that is above all names – the name of Jesus! The devil is already defeated, but you have to enforce your victory! Jesus walked in power and authority, and as a born-again believer, He expects you to walk in the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Before Jesus ascended to the right hand of the Father, He said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me! (Matthew 28:18).
Jesus has all power and authority; however, Jesus authorized you and me to walk in the same power and authority He walked in. Moreover, He said, “As you go into all the world, preach the wonderful news of the gospel openly to the entire human race! Whoever believes the good news and is baptized will be saved, and whoever does not believe the good news will be condemned. And these miracles and signs will accompany those who believe: They will drive out demons in the power of my name. They will speak in tongues. They will be supernaturally protected from snakes and from drinking anything poisonous. And they will lay hands on the sick and heal them.” (Mark 16:15-18)
There is power in the name of Jesus! There is power to overcome everything in the world through the name of Jesus.
There are four times you should use the name of Jesus:
1. Use the Name of Jesus to put sickness and dis-ease to flight. (Mark 16:17-18)
2. Use the Name of Jesus to take authority over lack; the Lord Jesus promised He would rebuke the devourer for your sake if you are a faithful tither. (Malachi 3:10-12)
3. Use the Name of Jesus and send demons back to where they came from, drylands. (Mark 16:17, Luke 11:24-26)
4. Use the Name of Jesus for supernatural protection.
(Proverbs 18:10)
Just as every sickness or disease has a name, lack has a name, and it covers more than money. Any area of your life where you are having lack, peace in your family, joy in your spirit, finances – every name in that area has to bow to the Name of Jesus. All the blessings in (Deuteronomy 28:1-14) and all the law’s curses are lack, whether it is finances, health, family – that is the devil! (Deuteronomy 28:15-68) Don’t tolerate lack! Get mad at the devil and kick him out of your life, send him packing back to drylands.
Every good and perfect gift comes from God. (James 1:17) So, if it is not good and perfect, it came from the devil. It is the plan of God for you to walk in the Blessing of the Lord. Nothing less than God’s best as a child of God. He is never late on child support. How do you fight for what belongs to you? By using the name of Jesus! In the name of Jesus, demons flee. (James 2:19-20, James 4:7-8) If someone broke into your home, stealing your goods, what would you do?
Don’t allow the enemy to take what belongs to you. Walk in the power and authority that has been authorized for you to walk in. Take back what belongs to you in Jesus’ name. Stand your ground in every area of your life. (Revelations 19:13) The devil has come to steal, kill and destroy, but Christ has come to give you life more abundantly. (John 10:10) Just say: ‘Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, and he will run away from you!
