Gratitude and Trust
My child, as you walk through this daily practice trust Me and thank Me along your way! (Philippians 4:6-8) Many years ago, in my personal walk with the Lord, I would pray and ask God for whatever my need was, however, there were times I felt anxious. Repeatedly the Father would call me by name and say, ‘do you love Me?’ I would say, ‘yes, Lord, I love you with all my heart.’ Then He would say, ‘if you love Me, trust Me!’ If you love the Lord, trust Him. Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. (Proverbs 3:5-7 NLT) Those who know My name trust Me, I will not abandon those who search for Me. (Psalms 9:10) I want what is best for you. Have a heart of Thankfulness, which is the first step to drawing close to the Father. (Psalms 5:2) Rejoice and be thankful with a heart of gratitude. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
Trust is the current within that will produce My peace flowing through your veins like a river. Thankfulness lifts you above your circumstances. Thankfulness and gratitude are used to express thankfulness and praise. It refers to the quality of being thankful and a readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. Throughout life’s challenges and blessings, displaying an attitude of gratitude separates believers from others, and it also makes you a beautiful person to be around! Practicing thankfulness and gratitude increases dopamine in your brain (the stuff that makes you feel good) and encourages your brain to seek more of the same. So, scientifically speaking, the more grateful you are, the more you will have to be grateful for!
It is never My will for you to walk through your challenges and you are certainly not alone; I am with you! I desire for you to rise above your circumstances. Run to Me, I am a safe house for the battered, a sanctuary during bad times. The moment you arrive; you relax, and you’re never sorry you knocked. (Psalms 9:10) I do My most significant work through My children who have hearts of gratitude – who Trust Me explicitly! Instead of planning and trying to figure everything out – practice Trusting and thanking Me continually. (Ephesians 5:20) This is a paradigm shift that will transform your life!
