This Mean War
Beloved one the war on sin begins in your Mind. It starts with a thought or an expression you have thought about or meditated on which produces the actions you take because you predetermined in your mind what you would do. As long as you and I are on the earth as a believer, we will be at war with our own flesh and mind. Paul said, ‘Why do I do the things I don’t want to do, and the things I want to do I don’t want to do I keep doing them?’ Even though you are in a war you have the ability to resist the attacks of the devil in your mind by the power and authority we have been given – he is the enemy of your destiny! All we have to do is immediately resist the devil and he will flee from you and take off running! (James 4:7)
How in the world do you overcome the attacks of the enemy? It’s very important to understand that the mind is built up with what you feed it! It is almost like a tree. Whatever seed you sow and whatever ground you plant it on, will determine the fruit behind it. Every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. (Matthew 7:17-18) Begin today by feeding yourself with the Word of God and hiding scripture in your heart to counterattack the enemy when he attacks your thoughts.
For goodness’s sake don’t meditate on the bad thoughts he fires at your mind, bring every thought you have captive to the obedience of Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5) Begin feeding yourself with the Word of God and start to speak over yourself the things that God’s Word says you are! Lastly, Renounce the attacks in your mind, whether it’s fear, doubt, bitterness, or resentment; Renounce those things and fill those areas of your mind with the Word of God.
Pray with me:
Father God, I renounce every attack of the enemy over my thoughts and my mind. I bind you harassing spirit tormenting me in the holy name of Jesus and I command you to go back to drylands from whence you came in Jesus’ name on the authority of the Word of God and I release and activate the all-powerful Word of God in your place and I declare the peace of God that passes all understanding is flooding my mind, soul, and spirit. Father God thank you for strengthening me with might in my inner man in Jesus’ mighty matchless name. Amen.
