The Secrets of Great Faith
Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this, he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promised. And because of Abraham’s faith, God counted him as righteous. (Romans 4:20-21 NLT)
My beloved, when I give you a promise, you receive it by faith as a gift. You can stand on it. A man who modeled great faith was Abraham; he is the father of all who believe. (Romans 4:16 NLT) That’s what the Scriptures mean when I the Lord your God told him, “I have made you the father of many nations.” Abraham believed in Me, the One who brings the dead back to life and creates new things out of nothing. (Romans 4:17 NLT) Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping that he would become the father of many nations. For I said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!” (Romans 4:18 NLT) I would have you ‘call those things in your life that be not (or look dead) as though they were.’
1. Faith calls
2. Faith believes
3. Faith doesn’t waver
4. Faith grows stronger
5. Faith is convinced
Abraham was not weak in faith; he didn’t consider his hundred-year-old body, nor did he consider Sarah’s ninety-year-old body dead. (Romans 4:19) In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this, he brought glory to God. (Romans 4:20-21)
Because of Abraham’s faith, he was counted as righteous, not just for his benefit. It’s recorded for your benefit today, assuring you that I will also count you as righteous if you believe in Me, the One who raised the dead. (Romans 4:22-24) Don’t entertain unbelief, don’t talk about your negative situation, don’t counsel with your body, and do not counsel with the price, if I the Lord your God said you can have it – it’s yours! Stand on His promises! Wrong conversations rob you of your destiny! If you allow Me, I will give you “Faith Builders” to ask for what you need, and I will increase your faith daily.
The righteous live by faith. (Romans 1:17) Abraham did not stagger in faith. Unbelief will cause you to stagger; what does that mean? Staggering is one day you believe, and the next day you have doubts. You stagger in your mind (your thoughts). You try to figure it all out and question it. Faith is not a feeling thing; faith is in your Spirit.
