The Heart of a Leader
And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God. Obey your spiritual leaders and do what they say. Their work is to watch over your souls, and they are accountable to God. Give them reason to do this with joy and not with sorrow. That would certainly not be for your benefit. (Hebrews 13:16-17 NLT)
My precious child watch and discern by My spirit – for you will know the heart of a leader by his/her love for the broken, hurting, and lost. They see people through the Father’s eyes – and see a vision of the finished work of Christ in other’s lives. Their love and compassion for the broken and the hurting are great. An excellent example is Jesus; He is your role model. He looked upon the vast crowd and had great compassion for them, for they were like sheep without a shepherd. (Matthew 9:36) What does that mean? The hurting and the broken were without protection and needed someone to guide and teach them. Pastor’s role is to guide, teach, and protect – ‘that’s their calling.’ They preach/teach the Word of God, giving careful instructions, correcting, and encouraging with great patience. (2 Timothy 4:2) Love oozed out of Jesus to everyone He came in contact with. Does the love of Christ flow out of you?
A Pharisee invited Jesus to dinner (a Pharisee is a self-righteous hypocrite), and a sinful woman brought a beautiful alabaster jar filled with expensive perfume to his house. She was broken! This hurting woman knelt at Jesus’ feet in humility and love – weeping. Her tears fell on his feet, and she wiped them with her hair, then she kissed his feet, putting the expensive perfume on them, and Jesus forgave her of her sins at that moment. (Luke 7:37-48) Jesus portrays his heart for the broken, hurting, and lost in these of scripture.
Isaiah is another excellent example of a leader who had a love for the unlovely! He wept over nations because of their sin, and so did Jeremiah and many others. Do you have the heart of a leader? The attitude of a godly leader who sees coming judgment on unbelievers will weep for souls. Isaiah grieved over what was coming on lost souls while he honored God’s righteousness and sovereignty in judging those who reject Him. Yet he declared the calamity coming was a terrible tragedy. He knew without God’s grace, and mercy judgment was coming, and he wept! Don’t rejoice when your enemies fall; don’t be happy when they stumble. For the Lord will be displeased with you and will turn his anger away from them. (Proverbs 24:17-18) His judgment is never an occasion to celebrate. Grieve for the lost. The pure heart of a leader will weep and pray for souls because of their love for them. Love covers a multitude of sins. (1 Peter 4:8) Stop and reflect today on God’s grace and mercy He has extended to you and ask yourself – do you have the heart of a leader?

My Daily Declarations
Pray this out loud over your day:
Father God, I come boldly before your throne (Hebrews 4:16) and thank you for this beautiful day as I dedicate it to You! I declare and decree on the authority of the Word of God I am healthy, I am wealthy in every area of my life, and I am wise beyond my years. I have great discernment and receive revelation as I study the Word of God. I boldly confess I am loved, called and chosen. I am anointed, appointed, equipped and enabled by the power of the Holy Spirit that works mightily within me. I am a carrier of the fire of the Holy Ghost igniting the flame in others, everywhere I go. I declare and decree I live, breathe, move and serve powerfully under the shelter of the Jehovah Yahweh. (Psalms 91)
I declare:
I believe God’s Word is true and I am who God’s Word says I am, I can have what God’s Word says I have. I can do what God’s Word says I can do. I am rich in every way and generous on every occasion. There is no lack in Heaven, I remove every block and hinderance releasing all the resources with my name on it. I say laborers come forth to help me build the Kingdom of God therefore it is established in Jesus name. (Matthew 9:35-38) I am the child of a King, therefore I will not leave home without wearing my invisible crown. I am healed and whole in every area of my life. God has called me to be a healer and deliverer to set His people free from every form of earthly bondage. He has chosen me to pull leaders up, push them out and position them for their purpose and calling as Jesus did. I have entered the ‘Rest of God’ and I am staying in that peaceful place and I declare I will not allow the enemy to rock my world.(Hebrews 4:1-16) Peace belongs to me because I am a blood bought daughter of a King, therefore I trust you Abba Father. I value and sense Your presence today Father. The Holy Spirit lives within me, He goes before me, walks beside me and He is my rear guard. (Isaiah 58:8, Isaiah 52:12) You O’ Lord order my steps and my stops. (Psalms 37:23)
I Declare:
I declare and decree on the authority of the Word of God I am favored, I have favor with both God and man in all I do in Jesus name. I am blessed and highly favored of the Lord, (Proverbs 3:3-4) divine spiritual order is in my home, body, life and family. I am renewing my mind daily, disciplining myself by washing it with the Word. I guard my heart for out of me flows a well spring of life not the issues of life because I am healed and whole in every area of my life because You O’ Lord are the CEO and President of my life. I declare divine protection and restoration over my family and I today. Divine appointments are happening every where I go.
I Declare:
I declare and decree that No weapon formed against my family and I can prosper or succeed and every tongue that (speaks against) rises up against us in judgement we condemn it, for this is the heritage of the children of the Most High God. (Isaiah 54:17) I declare and decree that me and my house shall be saved, every single member of my family, not one member of my family will perish in Jesus name. I release them now to the Father and I trust you Father God with them. (Acts 6:31) I walk by faith and not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7) I trust God with everything that goes on in my life and with each member of my family because God is at work turning all things around for my good and His glory because I love Him. (Romans 8:28) I seal my declarations with the Blood of Jesus, the Word of God and the Holy Spirit which empowers me therefore it is established this day in the Holy Righteous name of Jesus. Amen.
