Thanksgiving and Gratitude
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. (Psalms 107:1 NLT)
My child, what a wonderful time of the year to reflect on the blessings you have received this last year. If you are breathing, you have so much so blessed. God has been good to you if you have a roof over your head and food to eat. Remember that everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving. Why? The Word of God and prayer consecrates it. As you gather with your family and friends to feast on the bounty God has blessed you with, make wonderful memories together. Meditate on what is most important with a heart of gratitude. There’s little room for complaining or worry when your heart is full of gratitude. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (1 Thessalonians 5:8 KJV) I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope Christ has given to those He called-His holy people who are His rich and glorious inheritance. (Ephesians 1:18 NLT) Allow the presence of the Holy Spirit to flood your soul with light, so He can restore your hope and increase your faith. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for your soul. It leads you through the curtain into My inner sanctuary. (Hebrews 6:19 NLT) Then, let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body, you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. (Colossians 3:15 NLT)
Pray this with me:
“Dear Heavenly Father, I want to thank You for Your amazing love, grace, and mercy that is at work in my life and my family’s lives. You are a good, good Father, and You are so good to me. Thank you! Thank you for Your goodness, love, grace, mercy, favor, and blessings You have given my family and me. Oh, how I praise Your holy and righteous name for giving my family peace, protection, provision, and healing each of us in my family. Thank you for the great sacrifice You made for each of us to walk in liberty and freedom to have life more abundantly. Please forgive us for the times we do not express our gratitude for all You have done. Come close to us, Father, as we come close to You. Restore our hope and increase our faith as we spend time in Your presence. We can’t make it a single moment without You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and I love You with all my whole heart, soul, mind, and spirit. May Your peace that passes all understanding flood our spirit and soul this day. Joyfully we give thanks to You and praise Your holy name, for You alone are worthy of all our praise in Jesus’s righteous, holy name. Amen.”
