Suffering in Affliction
I must share this burning word with you because I know it is for somebody and not just me. As I was reading one of my devotionals ‘Come Away My Beloved’ by, Frances Roberts during this time of affliction not only did God speak to me once, but He also confirmed twice through the Word even in suffering and affliction we are to praise the Lord and do it with joy. I never do this, but I feel led by the spirit to share this with you. We know that every good and perfect gift comes from God. (James 1:17) The attacks of affliction have been severe the last month, but continue to listen to healing scriptures, stay in the Word, and rest in God’s love!
Then they will seek My face; in their affliction, they will earnestly seek Me. (Hosea 5:15)
Oh, my beloved people, has not My hand-fashioned for you many signs and wonders? Have not I ministered to you in miraculous ways? How is it that you say in your heart, I will again turn to human strength? How often have I spoken to you and never failed to keep My Word? Will you not, then, trust Me now in this new emergency, even as you have trusted Me in the past?
Your need is greater this time, so I have made the testing more acute. I strengthen you in the furnace of affliction and purify your soul in the fires of pain. Lean hard upon Me, for I will bring you out to new victories, and restoration shall follow what seems not to be a wind of destruction. Hold fast to My hand and rest in My love, for of this you may be very certain: My love is unaltered; yes, I have you in My own intensive care. My concern for you is deeper now than when things are normal.
Draw upon the resources of My grace, and so shall you be equipped to communicate peace and confidence to those who are dear to you. Heaven rejoices when you go through trials with a singing spirit. Your Father’s heart is cheered when you endure the test and do not question His mercy. Be a beacon light shining. His own glorious radiance shall shine through you, and Christ Himself will be revealed.
I know with all the prayer requests coming in many of you are going through great adversity, just as I have been for the last month, and that is because you are a threat to the devil. But greater is God within us than he that is in the world. I declare and decree lying symptoms must go right now because we are overcomers by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of our testimony. I know I am in God’s Intensive Care, and you are too! I declare and decree I am counting it all joy! It’s not the easiest thing to be joyous when we are walking through great adversity, but we are instructed in the Word of God to count it all joy! (So, no matter what you are walking through this holiday season be intentional about being joyful and declare for yourself you are counting it all joy!
Consider it pure joy, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (James 1:2-4)
For our light and momentary affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory that is far beyond comparison. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:17-18)
Paul said I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18)
Stand on God’s promises! He is a healing restoring Jesus and He loves you so very much!
