Success Secrets
Beloved one I have been asked to share my daily habits that have helped me to grow spiritually and in business. These have been things I have been consistent doing for more than twenty-five years. My prayer is this will help you to have direction moving forward. I assure you if you apply these success secrets to your life, you will see tremendous growth. My number one desire is to please God in all I do and to build the Kingdom of God in the marketplace and ministry. The marketplace is where God sets up divine appointments for you to connect to people. To be in the marketplace is a blessed opportunity to make money to help fund the Kingdom and reach those who are hurting. May you be blessed, and I ask God to bless everything your hands touch and cause it to prosper and succeed. First thing in the morning this is what I do:
1. Pray and I talk to God throughout my day, and you can too! I ask the Holy Spirit to shine light upon my heart and reveal the hidden things of darkness in my heart so I can repent. It is my deepest desire to live a holy life and model Jesus in all that I do. Create in me a clean heart O’ God and renew a right spirit within me. (Psalms 51:10) While I am working, throughout the day I pray under my breath, sometimes I pray out loud and other times I pray in the Spirit. Why? You must build yourself up in your most holy faith, praying in the Spirit. (Jude 1:20)
2. Meditate – I shut my mouth, focused on God – I listen to what He has to say. I have discovered, God has more to say to me than I have to say to Him. He is just looking for someone who will be still and listen. You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, or stayed on You, because they trust in you. (Isaiah 26:3) Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (Joshua 1:8)
3. Write in a Prayer Journal your prayers and what God speaks to you in your alone and quiet time with Him. “Write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now and what will take place later. (Revelation 1:19)
4. Make Daily Declarations prophesying over self and future. If you do not have daily declarations or know how to make declarations, please email me at prayerchangesfacts@gmail.com and send me your address and I will mail you a laminated Daily Declarations for your Bible to declare over yourself daily. I have witness people healed and delivered of things they have struggled with doing this daily, especially a spirit of fear leaves them. You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways. (Job 22:28)
5. Read the Bible, including reading a Proverbs everyday for wisdom and answers to
problems. There are 31 chapters in Proverbs, one for every day of the month. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.
(Joshua 1:8-9)
6. Put God first in everything I do. If you put God first in all you do, He will direct you and crown your efforts with success. (Proverbs 3:5-6 LT) It is amazing how when you apply this scripture in everything you do, God will bless your socks off. I have had three successful businesses doing this. I challenge you to begin putting God first and see what happens.
7. Do what you love and what your passionate about. Find your passion. What do you love to do? What are you passionate about? What is that one thing you would do for free because it doesn’t seem like work? The thing you love doing and your passionate about it is connected to God’s purpose in your life. Stop trying to re-invent the wheel. Jesus said, ‘Peter, do what you know how to do, go fish!’ Go down to the lake, drop in your line. The first fish you catch, open its mouth and take the coin out the roof of its mouth and go pay your taxes and mine. (Matthew 17:27) Do what you know to do. I work hard every day in Mentoring, Coaching and Ministering, but it doesn’t feel like work. It’s what I am passionate about. God created us to do what we do. What do you love to do? Do it and God will make provision for you.
8. Practice the Golden Rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. (Luke 6:31) Have integrity! Always do the right thing and take good care of your clients. That’s integrity! Do what you say you are going to do. The integrity of the upright guides them, but the perversity of the faithless destroys them. (Proverbs 11:3) Do you practice the Golden Rule even when no one is looking but God?
9. Keep your vision board before you. Create a vision board every January depicting your goals and vision for the year with pictures. I have done this for twenty-five years or more and it works! Then God answered: “Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what’s coming. It aches for the coming – it can hardly wait! And it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It’s on its way. It will come right on time.
(Habakkuk 2:2-3)
10. Spend 5 minutes having a ‘Visionary Moment’ before I go to sleep at night imagining the vision God has given me coming to pass. As a man thinks, so is he. (Proverbs 23:7) What is your vision of your future?
11. Get 8-9 hours sleep a night when possible. Some people require less sleep, I have learned to listen to my body and that is what my body requires. I am at optimum peak when I get my rest. When I travel and minister that is usually not possible, however when it is possible, I do. How much sleep does your body require?
12. Listen to healing scriptures set to music softly in my bedroom while I sleep. Why? Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. (Romans 10:17) I love to listen to the Bible while getting ready in the morning on Bible.IS to build my faith because faith comes by hearing!
13. Eat healthy. Stay away from carbs they love to hug my hips. Eating vegetables and proteins or meat only. Once in a while I will have desert as a reward. Stay away from caffeine. I know I lost some of you there. 9 years ago, I lost my sight due to a bad case of the shingles. Part of my complete recovery, doctor’s orders was to get off caffeine. If you are losing your eyesight you will give up caffeine easily!
14. Exercise. I love to walk. I try to walk 4-5 miles a day throughout all my activities. I am at maximum peak when I do this. I don’t always get to do this when ministering but it’s a goal daily to achieve. Challenge yourself to get moving!
15. Write daily devotionals in my alone time with God. I have written devotionals this since March 2007. Now the devotionals are becoming books and being published. What is God speaking to your heart to do?
16. Commit to doing something every day toward your business or ministry. Be persistent! It is amazing how God will bless your efforts and cause you to prosper and succeed. (Joshua 1:8-9) What do you need to begin doing right now?
17. Do it afraid! Don’t let anything stop you. Step out of your comfort zone and do what is uncomfortable for you. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but power, love and self-discipline (sound mind). (2 Timothy 1:7) What are you afraid of? Do it afraid!
18. Find a Mentor or Coach. A Mentor is someone who has been where you have not been and know what you do not know. Whatever you do, find an expert in the field of your expertise and grab hold of their coat tail and hang on! They will take you to the top. Who is the one person you look up to and respect that you could ask to Coach or Mentor you?
19. Take time every day to fill up to go out to pour out to others. Be still and know that I am God. (Psalms 46:10) How do you fill up? You must be still in God’s presence. Jesus said to His disciples after teaching all day, ‘get in the boat and let’s go to the other side by ourselves and get some rest. (Mark 6:31) Take time to get away and be refreshed!
20. Work hard, stay positive, take time to play and have fun. Don’t be a lazy couch potato. Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper. (Proverbs 13:4) “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.” “There is no substitute for hard work.” “Without hard work, nothing grows but weeds.” Serve the Lord in your work by working hard for Him. Don’t talk about it, be about it. All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty. (Proverbs 14:23-24)
