Strike it Rich
And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you. (Galatians 3:29 NLT)
Beloved one, have you struggled with poverty, being broke or just barely making it? I grew up on a farm in Arkansas; we didn’t have much; however, I never realized growing up that we were poor. After leaving home in my early years, I could barely get by until I became a born-again believer full of the Holy Ghost with fire, (Acts 2:38) then I began reading the Word of God. I realized I didn’t have to be poor no more! Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed you and me as Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith. And now that we belong to Christ, we are real children of Abraham. We are heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to us. (Galatians 3:29)
Nothing happens but by faith! This truth came alive in me! I remember the day I broke the back of poverty off my life! I have discovered if funds are low, it’s time to sow a seed. (Galatians 6:7-9) I have discovered whenever I have a need – I must plant a seed. (Mark 4:26-29) Are you under financial pressure, perhaps you need to plant a seed? Don’t just sow a seed anywhere the Bible is explicit – sow in a good fertile soil to receive a harvest. (Matthew 13:23) Giving is always Jesus’ way out! Throughout (Mark 4:22-29) Jesus compares the Kingdom of God to planting a seed. But let’s think about the importance of the seed: Everything living upon the earth comes from a seed including you and me. (Genesis 1:29) Then you were born again from the seed of the Word of God. Jesus was a seed planted by God the Father, and the Father sowed Him a sacrifice. He came forth and grew up into many brethren.
(Luke 2:40)
So, when Satan attacks your finances go to Jesus and ask Him where you need to plant a seed. If you will, the seed will grow up and break the power of lack in your life. It’s happened repeatedly for me. The day I broke the back of poverty God required of me to sow a significant seed. If fact when I first heard it I began to rebuke the devil because I couldn’t believe God would ask me to plant a car! I only had the car thirty days, and I had saved the money up to pay cash for it! How would I get another vehicle? How could I get to work? The enemy will put every thought in your head of why you shouldn’t break the back of lack! (Revelations 12:9-11)
I prayed for three days, and I knew I had to obey the Lord, and I asked Him where I was to plant my car (seed) and He told me. I obeyed! (1 Samuel 15:22, John 14:23) He spoke to me and told me I broke the generational curse of poverty and lack! Then God spoke to me and said not only have you broken the curse in finances off your life, but the curse is broken off your daughter’s life, your grandchildren’s life, your great grandchildren’s life from now till Jesus comes! It’s your legacy to your family. I have never lacked a day since! Take God at His Word and sow into your future! I declare and you can to: ‘All my needs are met according to God’s abundant riches in glory by Christ Jesus, and I decree it; therefore, it is established this day! (Romans 8:29)
