Start Giving Your Way Out of Trouble
Precious child, Jesus explained sowing and reaping by comparing sowing the Word in our hearts to sowing seeds in the ground. If we sow good seed into good soil, give it the right conditions with water and light, it will produce after its own kind. (Matthew 13:1-23) If you plant apple seeds, you will get an apple tree. If you plant words of life by speaking God’s Word, you will reap life. (Proverbs 18:21) If you speak things that are not for us in God’s Word, you will reap the opposite, death. (Mark 11:22-24) What do you need? Sow a seed. Do you need friends? The Bible says to show yourself friendly. (Proverbs 18:24) Do you need healing? God sent His Word to heal and deliver you from destruction. (Psalms 107:20) Speak life, health, and peace. Do you need finances? Then sow finances. He who sows sparingly will reap sparingly, but he who sows bountifully will reap bountifully. God loves a cheerful (prompt to do it) giver. (2 Corinthians 9:6-7)
Many years ago, I saved the money and paid cash for a corvette. I had that car for thirty days, and the Holy Spirit started speaking to me to sow it. At first, I said, ‘I rebuke you Satan!’ God would not ask me to sow my car; how will I get to work? I didn’t have the money to buy another vehicle. For three days and nights, I prayed and searched the Bible for scripture to validate me not giving my car away. The third night I didn’t go to sleep, I prayed and searched the Word till daybreak, and I couldn’t find one. By daybreak, I knew I had to sow the car, and God spoke to me where I was to sow the vehicle. I called my cousin and asked her to please go with me and give me a ride home. On our way back to my home, we could not speak in English. When we pulled into my driveway, she said, ‘Judy do you know what you have just done?’ I said, ‘No!’ She said, ‘You have broken the back of poverty off our family!’ Suddenly, I heard the Holy Spirit say, ‘You and your seed (my children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren from now till Jesus comes will never lack for anything!
Can I tell you, ‘God has kept His promise!’ Many times, throughout my walk with God, He has prompted me to sow a sacrificial seed. A bigger than me! Every Time He had a great blessing on His mind, He wanted to get to me! A farmer understands you must first sow before you receive the harvest! (Luke 8:5-15) God gives seed to every sower! (2 Corinthians 9:10) I believe with everything in me, if you ask God, ‘what do you want me to sow? Then express your desire to break the curse of poverty and lack off you and your family – He will!
Here’s a practical approach to getting out of debt. Create a budget based on how much money comes into your household monthly. Once you know your total income per month, go through your bills looking for what you can cut to save money? Cooking and eating at home costs less than eating out, for example, or perhaps going out for coffee in the morning rather than making it at home. Decide what you can live without. Next, what is your highest interest rate bill? Stop using it if it is a credit card, and start by paying extra on the amount you owe until you have paid that bill off. Then Use the extra money to pay additional on the next highest interest bill. Pay it off and move to the next account until you are entirely out of debt. It is so freeing to be out of debt. Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law. (Romans 13:8)
Debt causes many issues in life. It is one of the top three reasons marriages end in divorce. Jesus talked about money a lot, and it’s one of the most referenced topics of the Bible. Today, I declare and activate debt cancelation by the power of the Holy Spirit in your life in Jesus’ name!
