What is Your Spiritual Gift
My precious child, it’s necessary that you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. What is the Holy Spirit? (Acts 1 & 2) It is a gift from God the same as salvation is a gift and you can receive it, or you do not have to. It’s your choice! The Holy Spirit is a driving force, empowerment, (dunamis power) to help you do what you cannot do in yourself. (Acts 2:38) Grow in this powerful gift for it will be of benefit to encourage yourself in the future. How do you grow in the Holy Spirit, by praying in the Spirit every day? (Jude 1:20) The Holy Spirit gives special abilities and their called spiritual gifts. There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us. (1 Corinthians 12:4-5)
A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice or counsel in a timely season; to another, the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge. The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the Holy Spirit gives the gift of healing to pray for the sick and their healed. He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit as well as, the ability to discern evil spirits/powers and deal with them commanding them to go back to drylands from whence they came in Jesus’ name. Still, another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said. It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have. (1 Corinthians 12:4-12)
Never forget that the gift entrusted to you is to be a blessing to others. The gift of miracles, or miraculous powers, is different from the gift of healing. Those who have this gift have the ability, by the Spirit, of laying on of hands to do miraculous things of a different, more powerful kind: such as the casting out of demons, (Acts 16:16-18) the striking of blind eyes, Elymas the sorcerer (Acts 13:8), and the raising of Tabitha from the dead (Acts 9:36-42) are only a few examples. Some in the early church, besides the apostles, who had the gift of miracles were Stephen and Philip (Acts 6:8, 8:6-7, 13) Peter and John laid hands on believers and they received the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 8:17)
Paul said, ‘The marks of a true apostle, include signs, wonders, and miracles. Miracles are supernatural events that occur outside the bounds of what is natural. They are rare and out of the ordinary. The apostles certainly had the gift of miracles as they laid the foundation of the church (Ephesians 2:20) and bore witness to the authenticity of their message. Miracles are still for today! I have witnessed God do many miracles throughout my life and I have documented many of them in my book: ‘Supernatural Interventions’! I know first-hand miracles are for today! If you need a miracle, I have the faith to pray for you and expect God to heal you.
