Seven Secrets to Increasing Your Faith
Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing. Romans 4:17 NLT)
My beloved, when I give you a promise, you receive it by faith as a gift. You can stand on it! A man who modeled great faith was Abraham; he is the father of all who believes. (Romans 4:16 NLT) That’s what the Scriptures mean when I the Lord your God told him, “I have made you the father of many nations.” This happened because Abraham believed in Me, the One who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing. (Romans 4:17 NLT) Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping – believing that he would become the father of many nations. (Romans 4:3 NLT) For I said to him, “that’s how many descendants you will have!” (Romans 4:18 NLT) I would have you to call those things in your life that be not (or look dead) as though they were. There are seven secrets to increasing your faith:
1. Faith calls! (Romans 4:17)
2. Faith also believes God. (Romans 4:16)
3. Faith does not settle. (Romans 4:22-24)
4. Faith is not focused on what is seen. (Romans 4:19)
5. Faith is focused on the unseen. (Romans 4:17)
6. Faith does not waver. (Romans 4:20)
7. Faith grows stronger. (Romans 4:20)
8. Faith is convinced God will do what He promised. (Romans 4:21)
Because of Abraham’s faith, he was counted as righteous, not just for his benefit. It’s recorded for your benefit today, assuring you that I will also count you as righteous if you believe in Me, the One who raised the dead. (Romans 4:22-24) Don’t entertain unbelief, don’t talk about your negative situation, don’t counsel with your body, and do not counsel with the price, if I the Lord your God said you can have it – it’s yours! Stand on His promises! Wrong conversations rob you of your destiny! If you allow Me, I will give you “Faith Builders.” Ask for what you need, and I will increase your faith daily. The righteous live by faith. (Romans 1:17) Abraham did not stagger in faith. Unbelief will cause you to stagger, what does that mean? Staggering is one day you believe, and the next day you have doubts. You stagger in your mind (your thoughts); you try to figure it all out and question it.
Faith is not a feeling thing; faith is in your Spirit. Be consistent in your faith! If you feel overwhelmed, you’re in the emotional realm, not in the Spirit realm. That’s why it’s essential to renew your mind, which transforms you continuously. (Romans 12:2) How do you renew your mind? By replacing your thoughts with God’s Word, Scripture! That will build your faith, “faith comes by hearing, hearing the Word of God. (Romans 10:17) Abraham did not get in the emotional realm trying to figure out how he was going to become the father of many nations; he stayed in faith and let Me work it all out! Abraham is the example you are to follow! He remained firm in your faith, giving Me all the glory. He started praising Me until he saw the manifestation of the promise, I gave him. Start praising Me right in the middle of your circumstances and watch me turn your situation around. Abraham was fully convinced that the Lord God Almighty is able to do whatever He promises. Do you believe I am able to do whatever I promise you?
This is your ‘Faith List’, inspect yourself to see if you have all seven components of faith. You are the children of Abraham in action!
