Reversing the Curse of Mistakes
As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him. (Psalms 103:13 KJV)
My child, no matter the mistakes you/children/grandchildren have made, My mercy and grace can cover it through repentance! Look at Samson’s life, from twenty to forty; he didn’t have anything to do with women. He made messes everywhere he went, fighting. Yet I used him to judge the Philistines for twenty years. He had already been married and divorced at twenty. Around the age of 40, he fell in love with Delilah – she captured his heart. He broke his Nazarite vow, which was don’t eat grapes, drink wine, and do not share the secret of your strength. He ate grapes and drank wine with her. The Philistine rulers came to Delilah and said, “entice Samson to tell you what makes him so strong, how he can be overpowered and tied up securely. Then each of us will give you 1,100 pieces of silver.” Agreeing with them, she tormented Samson wanting to know the secret of his strength.” Finally, she wore him down, and he said, ‘”My hair has never been cut,” he confessed. “I was dedicated to God as a Nazirite from birth. If my head were shaved, my strength would leave me, and I would become as weak as anyone else.” (Judges 16:4-17) She lulled Samson to sleep with his head in her lap, and she had a man to shave off the seven locks of his hair. She betrayed him and brought him down – his strength left! He didn’t realize the Lord had left him. The Philistines captured him and gauged his eyes out, bound him in heavy bronze chains, and forced him to grind grain in prison. (Judges 16:18-21)
Remorseful, later, he had a divine encounter with Me, I reminded him his hair would grow back and his strength return! During a festival, the Philistines were worshipping idols and half-drunk – the people demanded Samson to be brought from prison in chains. So, they had him stand between the two supporting pillars of the roof. The temple was full of all the Philistine rulers. About 3,000 men and women on the rooftop were watching as Samson amused them. (Judges 16:23-27) Then Samson prayed, “Sovereign Lord, remember me again. O God, please strengthen me just one more time. With one blow, let me pay back the Philistines for the loss of my two eyes.” Then Samson put his hands on the two center pillars that held up the temple. Pushing against them with both hands, he prayed, “Let me die with the Philistines.” Suddenly, the temple crashed down on the Philistine rulers and all the people. So, he killed more people when he died than he had during his entire lifetime, fulfilling God’s plan. (Judges 16:28-30) God’s mercy is so vast toward us! He had a plan for Samson’s life, and He has a plan for you/your family – No matter how many mistakes. God never changed his mind about Samson’s future, and He hasn’t changed His mind about your family’s future or yours! He fulfilled His plan for Samson, and He will fulfill His plan for you and your family. Don’t give up! No matter how much you’ve/or they have blown it and made mistakes – God’s mercy is so vast! He loves you! There’s nothing anyone has ever done so badly that He won’t forgive. He’s standing with open arms – waiting for you/family to run into His arms in repentance, and He will set you/family free from the chains that have kept you/family bound and restore you/family, then forgive yourself! I declare and decree God is releasing prophetic destiny over you and your family this day!
Declare this with me:
I declare and decree on the authority of the Word of God, I repent for wrong decisions I have made, and I ask you to forgive me Father God. I choose this day to forgive myself of wrong decisions. This day the curse of bad decisions is broken, I sever it at the root, cursing and renouncing wrong decisions and declare the wisdom of God belongs to me. I declare I walk in wisdom. I now walk in the blessing of the Lord that makes me rich and adds no sorrow to me because I obey all Your commands Heavenly Father. I apply the Word of God to my life and I can’t keep from being blessed in the all-powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
