Recapture Your Dream
Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing. (Romans 4:17 NLT)
My precious child, I gave you a dream, and I am the One who will fulfill it. (Proverbs 29:11-13) ‘A dream is a seed I planted in the fertile soil of your soul.’ For the seed to produce fruit, it must go through the process of being developed. The first stage of a dream is conception, the second stage is development, and the last step is the fulfillment of the dream. From conception to fulfillment, it’s essential to protect your vision. You can’t tell everyone your dream! This is the time the enemy, other people, and even yourself, may try to abort your dream through unbelief, doubt, discouragement, and impatience. I the Lord your God, will never abort your dream! Once I have planted the dream in your heart, I have a plan to bring it to pass. I will make it happen, for He who calls you is faithful. (1 Thessalonians 5:24) I will protect your dream like protecting a baby in the womb and you must do likewise!
I gave Abraham a dream – one day he would be the father of many nations. (Genesis 17:4-5) He didn’t say, ‘how Daddy? When are you going to do that, Daddy? No! He said, ‘Okay, Daddy!’ That’s faith! Abraham believed in Me, grew stronger in faith, giving Me all the glory and honor, and I fulfilled the dream. He called those things that be not as though they were, and it is available for you today. (Romans 4:16-18) Concerning the promise I gave him; he was fully persuaded that what I promised I would perform. (Romans 4:19-21) It’s this type of faith that will cause your dream to come to pass. Perhaps you need to come into My presence and allow Me to ‘recapture your dream.’ Give you a fresh vision and light your fire!
Have you ever gotten so excited about your dream you went and told others about it? You tell them how you are going to do it, and they rain on your parade. You can’t tell everyone your dream! You must pray and give your dream back to Me. Don’t allow the first obstacle comes along and cause you to give up! Don’t give up! Recapture it! Write the dream/vision and make it plain so that he that reads it will take off running and tell other people about your dream and even if it takes much time, wait for it – it shall surely come to pass. (Habakkuk 2:2-3) If you recapture the dream I the Lord your God will fulfill it. It’s still planted in the fertile soil of your heart. It’s still there! Pull the weeds around it, water it, and start speaking the Word of God over it! Call those things that be not as though they were. (Romans 4:17) Pray in the Spirit over your dream, think about it, talk about it, pray over it, and sow seed for it! Name your seed, ‘Recapture the Dream’ then watch it come to pass! What is your vision/dream?
