Pruning Season
“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5 NLT)
My precious child, a gardener always trims the branches of a fruit tree because it has a limited number of resources and energy to allocate to its branches. If a branch becomes unfruitful it will delay and thwart the health of the tree and its ability to bear fruit.  It will exhaust the tree of its resources. When the tree is pruned the resources are redirected and the tree will be more fruitful. (John 15:1-5) Your life in Me is a branch, a conduit of My Blessings to flow through! When I bless you, it is my desire that you bless someone. It is written, ‘I must prune My branches for them to be more fruitful.’ God prunes us to make us more productive spiritually, so our lives will yield abundantly more spiritual fruit. (John 15:2) Growing extra branches and leaves uses energy and nutrients that could be used for producing fruit. Pruning removes unnecessary growth that hinders productivity so the remaining branches will be more fruitful. In life the pruning of a tree looks like loss.
Every one of My children in life will experience what appears in the natural to be loss. Something will pass from your life and others will be taken. They will appear to you as losses but they’re not. The purpose of pruning a tree is not to hurt the tree but to help it, so it will bear more fruit – and it is the same in your life. I will restore every loss and give you double for all your trouble the same as I did Job. (Job 42:10) I will use you to be all I created you to be – so don’t dwell on the past. (Isaiah 43:18-19) Dwell on the future and what is to come and the fruit that is coming forth through you! The godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon. For they are transplanted to the Lord’s own house, they flourish in the courts of our God. Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green.
(Psalms 92:12-14 NLT)
“I am the true grapevine, and My Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and He prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.  You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. (John 15:7) For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in Me.” “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in Me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5) The Mazmerah in Hebrew – God’s pruning hook only touches what He cares for and only for one purpose – to be more fruitful!  If you have been pruned, bow low to the ground in humility and thank Jehovah Yeshua for He loves you so much He desires for you to be more fruitful!
Notice how God is both kind and severe. He is severe toward those who disobeyed, but kind to you if you continue to trust in His kindness. But if you stop trusting, you also will be cut off. And if the people of Israel turn from their unbelief, they will be grafted in again, for God has the power to graft them back into the tree. You, by nature, were a branch cut from a wild olive tree. So, if God was willing to do something contrary to nature by grafting you into His cultivated tree, He will be far more eager to graft the original branches back into the tree where they belong. I want you to understand this mystery, dear brothers, and sisters, so that you will not feel proud about yourselves. Some of the people of Israel have hard hearts, but this will last only until the full number of Gentiles comes to Christ.  (Romans 11:22-25 NLT)
