Promise
What’s more, I am with you, and I will protect you wherever you go. One day I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have finished giving you everything, I have promised you.” (Genesis 28:15 NLT)
I want to encourage you to take the time for you to have personal praise and worship unto the Lord. I believe this is a year of ‘Promise’ and the only way you will see God fulfill your promise is you must do spiritual warfare for it to manifest. Recently I was given a big assignment. The enemy did not want me to complete this assignment. I waged a huge war with the enemy. The battle was intense! I stopped what I was doing and went to my bedroom and turned up the praise and worship music and sang to the top of my lungs and praised God for a little more than an hour! Can I tell you whatever the forces were that I was dealing with was completely broken? I walked out of my bedroom carefree, like a young girl running through a beautiful field of flowers and taking in the beauty of the day! I knew it was finished!
When things do not seem to be falling in place or coming together easily take a praise break! I am certain the enemy took off running the other way during my praise. When it comes to the enemy be bold! I knew I could walk into hell with a water pistol and defeat the devil and all his imps. Why? Because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4) This verse is a promise to everyone who has accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We all face hardships, go through unexpected battles, but greater is He who is in me than He that is in the world! You are equipped to take out the enemy! Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)
One of the Keywords for this year is ‘Promise’! Has God given you a promise and it has not yet happened? Have you prayed and expected it and nothing? Perhaps, many years have gone by, and it looks like it’s not going to happen. Get ready this is the year for the Promise to be fulfilled in your life. When you least expect it, expect it!
