Prepare to be Fruitful!
Beloved One, the life of a Bradford Pear tree is twenty years if it is not pruned generously because the tree will split, break and die. My brother-in-law Uncle Lowell (we call each other uncle and aunt) had his Bradford trees cut down below all the branches. When I saw it my first thought was oh my, those trees have been cut back too much, they are not going to survive this! Those trees have come back much fuller a more beautiful than before. I heard in my spirit Uncle Lowell added twenty more years to their life by pruning them generously. It is the same with us! No one likes to be pruned, it’s painful and challenging, however, if you want to grow and be bountiful it is essential to your future. If God prunes you He obviously has something great in your future.
Jesus said, “I am the true Vine, and My Father is the Gardener. He cuts off every branch that doesn’t produce. And He prunes those branches that bear fruit for even larger crops to come. He has already tended you by pruning you back for greater strength and usefulness by means of the commands I gave you. No one likes the pruning process but is for your benefit to increase! Take care to live in Me and let Me live in you. For a branch can’t produce fruit when severed from the vine. Nor can you be fruitful apart from me. (John 15:1-4)
“Yes, I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him shall (shall means a promise) produce a large crop of fruit. For apart from Me you can’t do a thing. If anyone separates from Me, he is thrown away like a useless branch, withers, and is gathered into a pile with all the others and burned. But if you stay in Me and obey My commands, you may ask any request you like, and it will be granted! Do you comprehend this? Ask Me anything and it will be given to you! My true disciples produce bountiful harvests. This brings great glory to My Father. (John 15:5-8) “I have loved you even as the Father has loved Me. Live within My love. When you obey Me, you are living in My love, just as I obey My Father and live in His love. I have told you this so that you will be filled with My joy. Yes, your cup of joy will overflow! (John 15:9-12)
