Prayer For Healing of a Wounded Heart
My beloved one, no matter what you are struggling with today or what you have gone through in the past God loves you so very much and He desires to heal you and restore you. You may be unaware of negative emotions manifesting in your daily walk, but others notice. Do you answer others with shortness? Perhaps it’s time to take a look at what is in your heart.
Stop for a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to shine LIGHT on your heart and reveal anything that may be in your heart regarding un-forgiveness, resentment, hatred, anger, evil speak revengefulness. These emotions are poison to your body. When you have these emotions, it is like drinking a cup of poison expecting someone else to die and the person it’s killing is you. Are you ready to break the chains of the past? You can be free! How? Ask the Father God to forgive you for allowing these ungodly emotions inside, repent. Then ask the Father to create in you a clean heart and renew a right spirit within you. (Psalms 51:10) You may have been deeply hurt or wounded by things that happened in the past that were not your fault. It may be hard to forgive and you may even be saying, ‘but you don’t know what I have gone through!’ Your right, but the Father does.
Perhaps you are guilty of hurting someone. Hurt people hurt other people but healing only comes through forgiveness. Take responsibility and forgive yourself. (Matthew 18:15-17) Many times at the root of many different sicknesses and life-threatening diseases (dis-ease within) is un-forgiveness. I encourage you today to create a place in your home (an altar which is simply a place where you lay something or someone down you have been carrying) and lay the person or thing on the altar and give them/it to Jesus. Who hurt you?
Now give this person/persons to the Father and let them go. Let God deal with them/him/her. God has a way of dealing with things in a more powerful way than we do. Let it all go and give it to God. You have carried this long enough! Isn’t it time you were free? Let it go and get rid of all the poison you have been carrying around that has been eating you up alive inside and let God heal and restore you.
It’s okay to cry! Let go of all the pain and all the poison you have hidden in your heart for so long. I could tell you many stories of people unaware they have become bitter or they are carrying around unforgiveness. Over a year ago, I went to Lowe’s to buy a large chain and large lock to demonstrate unforgiveness has us locked up in chains. The lady who assisted me asked what I was doing with the chains? I told her. She began to weep and said, ‘last night my grown daughter said, ‘Mom you have got to forgive Dad! He’s been deceased for 3 years, and your anger is destroying our relationship!’ She said, ‘everywhere you go, please tell people to forgive and let go of those who have wounded them!
Lay hands over your heart and pray with me:
‘Father God in Heaven I ask you to forgive me for holding on to the pain and unforgiveness for so long. I have had Your hands tied because I couldn’t forgive and You could not work on my behalf and I am so sorry. I choose to forgive ______________. Help me Father because it is so hard to forgive him/her/ them. I need your help. I lay (names of every person you need to forgive) __________ _____________ ____________ ____________ _____________ on the altar at your feet. I give them to you and I say have your way with them. I ask that you would heal and restore me inside out. Heal my heart! Most of all heal my relationship with you Father God in the righteous holy name of Jesus. I apply the blood to my broken heart and declare your healing promises over myself. Thank You for forgiving me of all my sins and healing me now in Jesus’ name. I declare I am free from the past.
Your Word says: ‘if I repent of all my sins you are faithful and just to forgive me of all my sins and to cleanse me and make me pure, righteous and holy in Your sight. (1 John 1:9) Your Word also says: ‘When I repent of my sins you bury them into the sea of forgetfulness as far as the east is from the west and you remember them no more.’ (Psalms 103:12) Thank you Father God for forgiving me and restoring me. I have let go this day of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, slander, as well as all types of evil behavior and I declare from this day forward with Your help I will be kind to others, tenderhearted, forgiving others just as You have forgiven me, Father God. (Ephesians 4:31, 32) Thank You for healing the broken-hearted and binding up their wounds. (Psalms 147:3) You are near the brokenhearted and saves those who have a crushed spirit. (Psalms 34:18)
Thank Father for healing and restoring my body and emotions, restore me spiritually, restore my finances, because I recognize my unforgiveness has blocked my finances. Heal my family! Heal my marriage! Give Me a vision of the future that You have for me through dreams and visions. Now I break the generational curse of unforgiveness, resentment, anger, bitterness, and in their place release the Love of Christ and the Word of God which has the power to heal and restore me. Love on me and restore me as only You can in Jesus righteous holy name. Amen.
God has an incredible plan for you. (Jeremiah 1:5, Jeremiah 29:11-13) Call upon the name of Jesus and He will hear you and answer you. (Jeremiah 33:3) All you have to do is whisper His name and He will come running to you. Just say, ‘Jesus help me!’ He will! I stand in agreement with you this day for your healing and restoration on the authority of the Word of God in Jesus’ righteous holy name. (Matthew 18:19)
