Peace in a Storm!

My child do not be anxious, and don’t be afraid for I am with you. (Philippians 4:6) Listen! Can you hear Me saying, ‘Peace Be STILL to your storm’! (John 14:27) Peace Be STILL to your troubled and restless heart. Be still and know that I am God! (Psalms 46:10) No matter what happens, I will not forsake you. Let this assurance soak into your mind and heart until you overflow with JOY! (Isaiah 26:3). Though the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the sea’s heart, do not fear! (Psalms 46:2) Stop focusing on the negativity in the media and focus your eyes on Me, for a diet with all the chaos going on in the world will make you sick.

Instead of listening to the ever-changing broadcasts, try reading the Living Word – the one thing that is always the same. Let My Word saturate your mind and heart, and then you will walk sure along life’s path. Even though you do not know what will happen tomorrow, you can be sure of your ultimate destination. I am holding you by your right hand, and I will take you into a glorious destiny. Trust Me! Throughout your life, there will be storms. You may have storms, but don’t let the storms have you. Storms come in our lives physically, financially, in our family, and sometimes in the weather, but you have the authority to take dominion and declare, ‘Peace be still!’ God has the final say. They must obey, and peace be still!

In 1982, I lived in Searcy, Arkansas, and I had my own business. I am a 100%er no matter what I do. This particular morning around 11:00 a.m., the phone rang and interrupted my training class. I was so into training I didn’t notice that it looked like it was nighttime outside. While on the call, I suddenly heard a train coming loudly! The only problem with that, I did not live near a railroad track. The house began shaking, and pressure was building as though the house was going to blow up. My first reaction was to slam the phone down, praying in the spirit, as I ran as fast as I could to open a window on the front of the house and one on the backside. The entire commanding the storm to dissipate and peace be still. (Matthew 8:23-27) Falling on my face before God, I continued praying in the spirit during the storm, commanding the tornado not to touch my home or go toward my daughters’ school! I prayed for divine protection, charging angels to encamp about my daughter, school, home, family, friends, and community. I took dominion over the storm in the spirit, it obeyed my voice, and it will obey yours! (Mark 4:39)

The tornado left as fast as it came. Afterward, I went outside and was amazed! There were houses destroyed across the street! It looked like a bulldozer had dug up all the trees in front of my home. There was damage to all the homes around me, except mine. (1 Peter 5:8) Not one shingle was moved on the house, the trash can outside the garage was upright with the lid on it, and no debris on my property! It was a miracle! Power lines were down all around; as I went back inside in amazement, all I could do was praise the Lord! What a mighty God we serve. I couldn’t get to the school or make a phone call; I had to wait, trust God that my little girl was in His hands, and just fine. (Deuteronomy 31:6, Proverbs 30:5) During the storm, I was in a zone, just Jesus and me. Thank God I know the master of the wind, storms and rain! After several hours the power came on, the lady I was training received a phone call from her husband. He heard the news and was concerned about his wife. She said to her husband, ‘honey, I was in the best place I could be. I came this morning a Baptist, but I am leaving here, Bapticostal!’

The tornado headed toward my daughter’s school took a sharp turn to the left a quarter of a mile away from the school. My daughter Karen was covered and protected, so was everyone else at her school, including the building. To this day, I am not sure how this happened, but shortly after, an article appeared on the local newspaper’s front page. The headlines read: ‘Praying Woman Deters Tornado!’ It was the power of prayer and faith in a real God that protected us, and not one person died in that storm! When you don’t know what to pray or how to pray, pray in the spirit. (Jude 1:20-21) What a precious gift God has made available to us, and all we have to do is receive it or not! (Acts 2:38) I am so glad I did! Why? Because the gift of the Holy Spirit empowers us to do what we cannot do in our flesh! (John 16:7) When you pray in the spirit, you capture God’s attention! What a priceless gift to call upon the name of Jesus, and not only does he hear us, but He answers us! (Jeremiah 33:3) God was not in the storm (James 1:17), but He listened to my cry and halted the enemy’s destruction, protecting His children. What storm are you facing right now? Call upon the name of the Lord! He will hear and listen to you. (Matthew 7:8)

My Daily Declarations

Pray this out loud over your day:

Father God, I come boldly before your throne (Hebrews 4:16) and thank you for this beautiful day as I dedicate it to You! I declare and decree on the authority of the Word of God I am healthy, I am wealthy in every area of my life, and I am wise beyond my years. I have great discernment and receive revelation as I study the Word of God. I boldly confess I am loved, called and chosen. I am anointed, appointed, equipped and enabled by the power of the Holy Spirit that works mightily within me. I am a carrier of the fire of the Holy Ghost igniting the flame in others, everywhere I go. I declare and decree I live, breathe, move and serve powerfully under the shelter of the Jehovah Yahweh. (Psalms 91)

I declare:

I believe God’s Word is true and I am who God’s Word says I am, I can have what God’s Word says I have. I can do what God’s Word says I can do. I am rich in every way and generous on every occasion. There is no lack in Heaven, I remove every block and hinderance releasing all the resources with my name on it. I say laborers come forth to help me build the Kingdom of God therefore it is established in Jesus name. (Matthew 9:35-38) I am the child of a King, therefore I will not leave home without wearing my invisible crown. I am healed and whole in every area of my life. God has called me to be a healer and deliverer to set His people free from every form of earthly bondage. He has chosen me to pull leaders up, push them out and position them for their purpose and calling as Jesus did. I have entered the ‘Rest of God’ and I am staying in that peaceful place and I declare I will not allow the enemy to rock my world.(Hebrews 4:1-16) Peace belongs to me because I am a blood bought daughter of a King, therefore I trust you Abba Father. I value and sense Your presence today Father. The Holy Spirit lives within me, He goes before me, walks beside me and He is my rear guard. (Isaiah 58:8, Isaiah 52:12) You O’ Lord order my steps and my stops. (Psalms 37:23)

I Declare:

I declare and decree on the authority of the Word of God I am favored, I have favor with both God and man in all I do in Jesus name. I am blessed and highly favored of the Lord, (Proverbs 3:3-4) divine spiritual order is in my home, body, life and family. I am renewing my mind daily, disciplining myself by washing it with the Word. I guard my heart for out of me flows a well spring of life not the issues of life because I am healed and whole in every area of my life because You O’ Lord are the CEO and President of my life. I declare divine protection and restoration over my family and I today. Divine appointments are happening every where I go.

I Declare:

I declare and decree that No weapon formed against my family and I can prosper or succeed and every tongue that (speaks against) rises up against us in judgement we condemn it, for this is the heritage of the children of the Most High God. (Isaiah 54:17) I declare and decree that me and my house shall be saved, every single member of my family, not one member of my family will perish in Jesus name. I release them now to the Father and I trust you Father God with them. (Acts 6:31) I walk by faith and not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7) I trust God with everything that goes on in my life and with each member of my family because God is at work turning all things around for my good and His glory because I love Him. (Romans 8:28) I seal my declarations with the Blood of Jesus, the Word of God and the Holy Spirit which empowers me therefore it is established this day in the Holy Righteous name of Jesus. Amen.
