Ordinary People Empowered by God
God’s word reigned supreme and kept spreading. The number of Jesus’ followers in Jerusalem quickly grew and increased by the day. Even a great number of Jewish priests became believers and were obedient to the faith. Stephen, who was a man full of grace and supernatural power, performed many astonishing signs and wonders and mighty miracles among the people. (Acts 6:7-8)
My child, it is My desire for you to be full of faith, full of power and full of the Holy Spirit just like My servant Stephen. He was one of seven godly men chosen who were full of the Holy Spirit, honorable and had wisdom and the twelve Apostles laid their hands on them and prayed for them, commissioning them to the ministry of serving. (Acts 6:1-6) In these perilous days it’s essential that you are full of the Holy Spirit, have faith and wisdom. I planned for you to be here in this time and season for My light to shine brightly through you in the middle of a dark world. (John 1:4) Divine holiness is gushing forth through your love, compassion, and kindness toward others. (John 13:34) I have chosen you, allow Me to express Myself through you as a conduit. I can take clay lips + a weak person = and make an oracle to flow through!
I can take a weak person and by My majestic, great power make your body acceptable to be My Holy Temple by washing your heart clean and white as snow. (1 John 1:9) He who believes in Me, the works that My Son Jesus did – you will do also; and greater works than these you will do, because My Son has ascended to sit at My right hand – His Heavenly Father. (John 14:12-14) My Son is in the place of power, and He exercises His authority not only in heaven but also on earth. (Matthew 6:9-10) You have an open door to Me if you will only believe!
My disciples were ordinary men just like you, look at Peter, John, and Thomas. When I called Peter, he could easily be observed as loud, brash, direct, and hard to intimidate. He was probably strong and big. As a businessman he was very good at what he did and appeared successful. Those around him looked upon him as a natural leader who drew people’s loyalty. But from My perspective this man I chose was also selfish, unclean, outspoken, and stubborn; all that combined to make a bully, but I can take away a stubborn heart and give you a new heart and a desire to be faithful – and you will only have pure thoughts. (Ezekiel 36:26) John the beloved leaned on the (My) Master’s breast. (John 13:24) Thomas had a hard nature and a defiant spirit. When I touched Thomas even stony -hearted Thomas believed. (Hebrews 12:11) Just one touch, a look, or a word from Me can bring you to brokenness. It is what I desire for you to become as My disciples that counts. Only believe and you will see Me transform lives and use you as My mouthpiece to impact the world around you. (Jeremiah 15:19)
