Miracle Kind of Faith
My child, do you have extraordinary faith to expect miracles? What does faith mean? It is trust, belief, confidence, or assurance. To have faith in God means to believe in Him without a doubt. Faith is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead. Men of God in days of old were famous for their faith. By faith—by believing God—we know that the world and the stars—in fact, all things—were made at God’s command; and that they were all made from things that can’t be seen. (Hebrews 11:1-3 LB) Faith is the Word of God in action; it is meant to be lived out. You are not truly fighting until your fists are balled up and you’re preparing to swing or swing. If you are sitting on the sideline, you are not fighting the good fight of faith. Idle Christians do not properly reflect God’s kingdom.
Jesus and many of His disciples along with a large crowd went with Him to a village called Nain. When He came near the city gate, they met a funeral procession. A woman’s only son was being carried out for burial. And the mother was a widow. When Jesus saw her, His heart broke, and He had great compassion for her. He said, ‘don’t cry.’ Then He went over to and touched the coffin. The pallbearers stopped. He said, ‘young man, I tell you: Get up!’ The dead son sat up and began talking. Jesus presented him to his mother. (Luke 7:11-15 Message) They all realized they were in a place of holy mystery, that God was at work among them. There were quietly worshipful and noisily grateful, calling out among themselves, ‘God is back, looking to the needs of His people!’ The news of Jesus spread all throughout the country. (Luke 7:15-17)
You cannot believe in God one day and be undecided the next day. Real faith is unmovable and able to remain steady no matter what life throws at it. Do you need a miracle? Believe God beyond a shadow of a doubt. He is ready and waiting for you to receive your miracle!
