Loving Through Forgiveness
My child My Son Jesus was invited to Matthew’s home for dinner, everyone hated him, the dishonest tax collector and he went. (Luke 7:36) During his visit a woman who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume. (Luke 7:37) As she stood behind Him at His feet weeping, she began to wet His feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them. (Luke 7:38-46) What a beautiful story! There are many reasons people fail to experience My great love and one of them is un-forgiveness. When you don’t forgive unconsciously you create a wall of anger, bitterness, and resentment around you and prevent the Love of the Father from entering in. (Luke 7:47)
Sadly, unforgiveness toward others and self prevents those who love you from entering in. Are you harboring un-forgiveness, resentment, or offense? The only person you are really hurting is you. Holding on to hate, resentment, offense, and un-forgiveness it’s like drinking poison expecting someone else to die. (Mark 11:25) The only one it hurts is you! I came to give you freedom! Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. (Ephesians 4:31-32)
Are you ready to let the walls come down and repent of your sins and forgive those who have hurt you so deeply so you can move forward in My plan? (1 John 1:9, Psalms 103:12) I came to heal and restore you, but you must ‘Forgive! Let it go’! (Psalms 147:3, Psalms 34:18) Allow Me to restore you! My child your freedom only comes through forgiving those who hurt you. Realize ‘hurt people hurt other people but healing only comes through forgiveness’! ‘Who hurt them – that they hurt you? The sad thing is many children are hurt in childhood and they are not taught to forgive, let it go and grow up to be broken children with grown up pain! Who ever hurt you cannot possibly know the full effect their actions have had on you! I forgave the thief on the cross. (Luke 23:43) I can forgive you. Extend mercy to those who have wronged you, then you will experience My great love that only a Father can give.
