Don’t Trip Over Your Future!
My precious child I cover you and your own criticism, blame, nagging disrespect but I would have you to let it go! Look closely at My Disciple Peter’s life – he wouldn’t have done My work, nor would he have had the courage to live a daring life for Me if it was not for the Love of the Father. I wrapped Peter in tender Love daily. Love Covers! Love covers a multitude of sin. (1 Peter 4:8) I didn’t get angry with him because he had a temper, and he was a hot head. I had to go behind him in love and clean up the consequences of his anger such as put an ear back on the soldier after he cut it off. (Luke 22:48-51) I poured out the gentle tender Love of the Father on him.
Did I need to protect from the rejection, resentment, and disrespect of My enemies? No! However, I did need to protect him from the hatred of himself and to you My follower who truly desires to be strong and courageous, yet you experience shame, remorse, and dislike of yourself and criticize self. In your own weakness because you do not see yourself the way I see you – I protect you with a shield of tender Love. (2 Corinthians 12:10) You too would not have the courage to fight and overcome if it were not for the tender Love of the Father.
I created you in My own image and the more intimate you are with Me and the more you die to your flesh the more you will look like Me and begin to see yourself the way I see you. (Genesis 1:27) When you are transparent you will face your true self-shame and remorse – this is the first phase of development. I am preparing you to fly! Of what use would the butterflies’ wings be if it remained earthbound and carrying the weight of its disgraceful past? So, I say to you this day, Do Not dwell for a moment on the sins of your past. Remember not the former things neither consider the things of old! Behold right now at this very moment I am doing a New Thing. Do you not perceive it and know it? (Isaiah 43:18-19)
You must be as one who runs in a race, who is righteous yet stumbles and falls but he always rises again. (Proverbs 26:16) Press toward the goal, and keep your eye on the prize, what good will it do a runner if he gets up and examines the place where he fell – or if he weeps because he was shortsighted and didn’t see the obstacle in his path? (Philippians 3:13-14) So it is with you this day: ‘Don’t Look Back or you will trip over your future!’ Give it all you’ve got to make the most of this new day! I sent My disciples out two by two without notes, to be led by the Spirit. On life’s journey throw everything away that’s not important. Cast aside all hindrances of the past, a sense of failure and all the imperfections of others. Travel with a light heart, which means a weight of influence. Lift Me up everywhere you go, and I will draw all men unto Me! (John 12:32)
