Live to Give the Best of You.
Beloved one Jesus said it best be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing your mind. (Romans 12:2) I love and apply what Zig Ziglar shares, ‘every morning get up and do a check-up from the neck up and get rid of stinkin’ thinkin’ every day!’ Your thoughts create your reality because your thoughts determine how you respond to situations in your everyday life. The secret place, many laws into action in your life. (Psalms 141:3) Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips!
We understand that thoughts are like a form of energy. Low-energy thoughts like anger, shame, guilt, fear, and hate, not only weaken you but they attract more of the same. If you run into anger a lot, ask yourself about the angry thoughts you have inside you. This moves to another law, the law of sowing and reaping. The great challenge to this law is that “you can’t give away something you don’t have.” If you wanted to give a dozen roses to your friend as an expression of love, you obviously would need to be in possession of 12 roses. Likewise, you can’t give love away to others if you don’t have any for yourself. You can’t show respect for others if you lack self-respect.
You can only give away what you do have and all that you’re giving away every day are items from your own personal inventory. If you give away misery, it’s because you have a ready supply available from which to select. When you live in Florida, if you have orange trees that produce wonderful oranges, you know when you squeeze an orange; you’ll always get orange juice to come out? This is true regardless of who does the squeezing, what time you squeeze, or what you use to squeeze! What comes out is what’s inside. The same logic applies to you. When someone squeezes you puts pressure on you or says something critical or unflattering; and out of you comes anger, tension, bitterness, or anxiety, it’s because that is what’s in you. (Ephesians 4:31-32) You can change your life if you are willing to change what’s inside you. As a man thinks, so is he. (Proverbs 23:7) (Proverbs 4:23-24)
