Jesus Taught the Disciples
How to Pray with Results
My beloved child, you don’t pray to Jesus; you ask the Father in Jesus’ name. Your prayers will not be answered if you pray to Jesus. Jesus instructed His disciples how to pray with signs, wonders, and miracles following them, and we should pray this way too! He said:
‘In that day you will not [need to] ask Me about anything. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name [as My representative], He will give you. Until now you have not asked [the Father] for anything in My name; but now ask and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy may be full and complete. (John 16:23-24 Amplified)
1. Follow the instructions and you will see many prayers answered.
Don’t pray to (Me) Jesus, you pray and ask the Father in Jesus’ name, and whatever you ask Him – He will give it to you that your joy may be full. Your prayers will not be answered if you pray to Jesus! There is no scripture that says pray to Jesus. I am going to say it again, ‘Don’t pray to Jesus! Pray and ask the Father and He will give you whatever you ask in Jesus’ name so that you may be full of joy. In the above scripture, Jesus was still on earth, and He is talking to the disciples. He was telling them in that day, (which day?) The day He is no longer with them, (today). Today you are to ask the Father for whatever you need in the name of Jesus, and He will give it to you. Then He told His disciples, up till now you have not asked the Father anything in Jesus’ name, there was no need to because He was with them. They could ask Him anything, at any time, because they walked with Him and talked to Him.
What is your greatest need? Go ahead and ask the Father in Jesus’ name and I believe He will give it to you so you may be full of joy! Don’t forget to thank the Father for hearing and answering your prayer. (Jeremiah 33:3)
2. Ask the Father in Jesus’ name and you shall receive.
You haven’t done this before. Ask the Father, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy. (John 16:24)
That name has authority on earth, it belongs to you if you are a believer. You have the right to use that name.
3. If your prayers aren’t being answered, what is blocking them?
Example:
I read John G. Lakes’ testimony of praying for a man who had sugar diabetes. When he knelt to pray, he kept seeing $5000 and he asked the man what is it with $5000? The man said, he had been in business when his brother died, his sister-in-law wanted to liquidate the business and he did, but he kept $5000 out for himself because he felt he deserved it, even though the money belonged to her. Lake told him to write out a check to her and then he would pray for him. The man wrote the check, put it in the mailbox and walked back, and was healed. Sometimes matters like this will nullify prayers! Other times prayers aren’t answered because people do not believe they deserve to be blessed. If there is anything that is blocking your prayers, deal with it today – then ask the Father in Jesus’ name and He will give it to you for your joy to be made full.
