Jehovah Tsidkenu – The Lord Our Righteousness
My child, righteousness is a divine attribute of Jesus in providing salvation, He is our righteousness. God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21)
The time is coming “when Jehovah Tsidkenu will raise up a righteous descendant from King David’s line. He will be a King who rules with wisdom. He will do what is just and right throughout the land. And this will be his name: ‘The Lord Is Our Righteousness.’ In that day Judah will be saved, and Israel will live in safety. (Jeremiah 23:5-6 NLT) Justice will rule in the wilderness and righteousness in the fertile field. And this righteousness will bring peace. Yes, it will bring quietness and confidence forever. My people will live in safety, quietly at home. They will be at rest. (Isaiah 32:16-18 NLT)
The benefits of Jehovah Tsidkenu the Lord our righteousness are:

5. Rest (Matthew 11:28-29)
Since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. (Romans 5:1-2 NLT)
Knowing Jehovah Tsidkenu our righteousness brings quietness of spirit. When you take on the identity of Jesus the Messiah no longer do you have to strive to measure up, comparing yourself to others. You won’t feel the need to toot your own horn or seek the praise of men. You can be still in your heart knowing it is well. The Lord is in His holy Temple. Let all the earth be silent before him.” (Habakkuk 2:20 NLT)
We have the confident assurance of knowing that the Lord is our righteousness. This was His eternal plan, which He carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord. Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence. (Ephesians 3:11-12 NLT)
If Jesus is your righteousness, and He cannot fail then you are secure and safe! No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17 NKJV)
Rest is also a fruit of knowing Jehovah Tsidkenu as our righteousness. Everyone needs rest physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. You can rest in peaceful places as He promised. “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (Matthew 11:28-29 NLT)
Justice will dwell in the desert and righteousness live in the fertile field. The fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever. My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest. (Isaiah 32:16-18)
