Jehovah Shammah – The Lord is Present
My beloved child, you can be at peace knowing that you are never alone. The Lord is with you always even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:20 NIV) Shammah means ‘the Lord is present, He is there,’ and Jehovah means – ‘The eternal, I Am.’ “Jehovah-Shammah will walk with you into whatever tomorrow holds because of His great love for you. God is THERE in your tomorrow so, whatever you need it’s already done! He desires nothing more than for you to trust Him! Many years ago, I would pray for whatever I needed and the Holy Spirit would say, ‘Judy, do you love Me? I would say, ‘Yes, Lord, you know I love you! He would say, ‘then trust Me!’ He is saying that to you today. Put your name in the blank, He is saying do you love Me _____, if you love Me, trust Me. He desires for you to trust Him with your husband/wife, your children, provision, for your healing, your future, whatever you need – He will supply. (Philippians 4:19 NIV) When you truly trust the Lord no matter what you are facing, you are at peace inside! Jehovah Shammah is the Prince of Peace, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father. (Isaiah 9:6 NIV)
He is Jehovah-Shammah, the Lord is there. Many children grow up with an earthly father who is absent because of illness, work, unconcern, separation, or death. Others have fathers who were present in the home but did not provide a positive and meaningful presence. Jehovah Shammah has not abandoned you; restoration is coming to you. (Ezekiel 48:35 NIV) He is our redeemer! Shammah is the promise from God, and I am confident that He who has begun a good work in me will complete it until the day of Jesus the Messiah. (Philippians 1:6 NIV) Remember the song, ‘He’s still working on me, to make me what I need to be. There really ought to be a sign upon my heart, don’t judge me yet there’s an unfinished part, fashioned by the Master’s loving hands. It’s true! Bask in God’s presence today knowing that He is right there with you, you are not alone!
