How to Recognize You Are Being Attacked by the Enemy Part 2.
Beloved one, you may not know it, but there are 5 signs you are under the attack of Satan.
There are five examples from scripture to help you know and understand you are in a battle Part 2:
3. Increased temptation and luring towards sin or wrong choices.
Though we live with struggles and temptations every day, there are times we are under spiritual attack when the enemy comes and tries to deceive us. It’s a battle! I don’t care how long you have been a believer the enemy comes, and his goal is to trip you up and take you out! He is ruthless and fights hard against you, but you must fight harder. Don’t give him a foothold in your life. (Ephesians 4:27) Satan tried to tempt Jesus for 40 days and 40 nights in the wilderness, but Jesus resisted and answered the attacks of the devil with the Word, declaring – ‘it is written’ and you must too! (Matthew 4:1-11) He held fast to the truth and defeated Satan and his vicious lies. When you feel a strong pull away from the Word of God – the truth, the enemy is attacking you to trip you up!
4. Feelings of overwhelming darkness, despair, and fear.
Many are fighting depression, anxiety, and fear, these are attacks of spiritual forces against your life, and you must not give in to the enemy. I have discovered when I am feeling these emotions if I will put praise and worship music on and sing to the top of my lungs in worship to the Father, I’m able to break the stronghold against the enemy. It is a spiritual attack. The enemy is unrelenting trying to make us feel we are alone and overwhelmed. But we are not alone, God is with us, and he will never leave us or forsake us. He goes with us everywhere we go, and He will not leave us until He has fulfilled all His promises. (Genesis 28:15) Stand strong, declare God’s Word even when you don’t feel like it. This is when Satan comes to tell you you’re not loved, and your family would be better off without you. He tries to convince you to end your life. What a liar! He has no truth in him at all. (John 8:44)
Elijah the prophet was a great man of God, yet right after such a great victory, he faced an extreme spiritual battle. Out of fear, he ran for his life. Darkness and despair gripped his heart, and he couldn’t think straight. Hello! I am talking to somebody! It appears he had forgotten everything God had done on behalf of His people. (1 Kings 19) Here’s the beautiful thing about God, He will meet you right where you are, He came to Elijah, provided for him, and gave him mercy and grace then He called him to action! He gave him a plan. Keep moving forward! He still had a purpose for Elijah and He has one for you. Don’t buy into the attacks of the enemy and his pursuit. What does he know about your future that you do not know? He is not going to waste his time on anyone unless God has big plans for their future.
