How to Enter the Most Holy Place
Beloved one, this is a high and holy week with the Holiest day of the year being Wednesday, October 5, 2022. According to the Word, it is to be a day of rest, and no one should appear before the Lord empty-handed. Everyone must appear with a gift as he is able, according to the blessing the LORD your God has given you. (Deuteronomy 16:16-17) Leading up to the Day of Atonement I personally spend time asking Father God to search my heart and reveal anything in my heart that is not pleasing to Him so I can repent standing before Him pure and holy. I spend time praying, ‘Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.’ (Psalms 139:23) I wait for the Holy Spirit to reveal anything that might be there and repent. Create in me a clean heart O’ God and renew a right spirit within me. (Psalms 51:10) I love to spend time reading the Word before I enter His presence. Why? Because the Word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. (Hebrews 4:12) I receive communion after a time of examining my heart and repenting, reading from 1 Corinthians 11:23-32 in the Amplified Bible. This is a daily routine. God is a God of order and protocol. Today I want to share with you the order biblically of entering the Throne Room of God:
1. (Psalms 100:4) We enter His gates with thanksgiving
2. Then we enter His courts with praise, be thankful unto Him and bless His name as we sing songs of praise unto God. (Psalms 100:4)
3. We move from the outer court to the Holy of Holies as we worship Him. (Exodus 26:30-32) As we worship in the Holy of Holies where the table, lampstand, candelabra, and showbreads are we move toward the veil.
4. The veil was ripped from top to bottom in the Holy of Holies (the Sanctuary) when Jesus died – which gives you and I access to enter the Most Holy Place and spend time in God’s presence today.
(Matthew 27:50-51 KJV)
Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.
5. When you enter the Most Holy Place as you walk through the veil that is when you keep your mouth shut and listen. God has more to say to you than you have to say to Him.
I keep a prayer journal with me and whatever I receive when I am sitting in God’s presence. Sometimes I enter and I bow at His feet and worship Him. Other times there is a chair waiting for me to sit in His presence. Other times I have been so full of joy, I dance before the Lord. Be led by the Holy Spirit and listen. So many times, when I have been in His presence, and He has downloaded to me I discover weeks and months down the road it was a prophetic word.
Jesus Christ died for our sins. However, He did not remain dead. He rose from the dead and became our High Priest. His redemptive death made it possible for us to come before the Throne of God. Jesus intercedes for us and ensures that we have all the help to overcome until the end. (Hebrews 9:11-12) My time in the Throne Room is personal and intimate. By the spirit, I was led to share with you how you too can enter His Throne Room and spend time in God’s presence listening and writing down what He gives you. I challenge you to spend time in the Secret Place of the Most-High and listen.
