Honor and Be Kind to Everyone

Beloved one, God tells us in His Word we are to honor and be kind to everyone. (Romans 12:9-10) And we are to love our neighbor as ourselves which is one of the Ten Commandments. (Leviticus 19:18, Matthew 22:37-39) Honor everyone, love your brothers and sisters in Christ, fear God, and honor the King (or whoever is in authority. (1 Peter 2:17) The reality is that every person you see has a deposit of God in them. Be kind to those who are ugly when you are at check out. You do not know what they have gone through before you arrive at their checkout. Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. (Ephesians 5:21)

Wives love and honor your husband, and likewise, husbands love and honor your wife. Husbands are the head of the home, and both are to submit to one another. It is powerfully important to agree with each other in your marriage and the decisions that are made. The scripture says, ‘Where any two agree as touching anything they shall have what the ask. (Matthew 18:19) There is power in agreement and God will bless your socks off when you live in peace and agreement. Paul said, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.  For wives, this means submitting to their husbands as to the Lord. For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church, they are both to submit to one another. He is the Savior of his body, the church. As the church submits to Christ, your wives should submit to your husbands in everything.

(Colossians 3:18) You are both your equal partners.

In the same way, husbands you must give honor to your wife. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker (strength-wise) than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Your wife is a gift from the Lord. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered. (1 Peter 3:7) She is your equal partner.

If there is a disagreement between you and your spouse humble yourself and say ‘I’m sorry when you do something wrong, and God will lift you and bring peace to your home. (James 4:10) Do you have to win an argument? That is pridefulness and God hates pride. Humble yourself and God will bless you.
