Healing is a Process
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. (Ephesians 4:32) “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” (Matthew 6:14)
Everyone at one time or another has been in situations where we have done wrong and desire forgiveness – from a spouse, family member, friend, or even a co-worker. Yet there are other times the person we most need forgiveness from is ourselves. Then are moments and times when someone is asking us for forgiveness, and we must look deeply in ourselves to offer it, no strings attached. Healing is a process! Let’s be real, it’s hard! Whether you are giving or receiving forgiveness, it’s a powerful thing and it’s healing to your spirit and your soul! The Word of God gives us guides us through the healing and forgiveness process. For myself, it’s easy to forgive others, no matter the severity of the wrong, forgiving myself for mistakes I have made is where I am challenged the most. Forgiving others and self, go hand in hand. To forgive is to show love, and love is the most important thing we can give to our friends, family, neighbors, and even strangers. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. (Ephesians 4:32)
Jesus is intimately familiar with your pain; He understands that trauma changes you; just one touch from Him will heal and restore you. (Psalms 147:3) If you allow Him, He can turn your pain into promise! (Genesis 50:20) What now seems to be so painful and terrible through His magnificent power by the Holy Spirit can become a driving force to catapult you right into your God-given purpose! (Psalms 24:18) He can turn your mistakes into purpose! Now is the appointed time for you to be healed and whole in every way; especially in your mind and emotions. It doesn’t matter what has happened to you, when it happened or where it happened – Jesus has come to give you a Gift called Healing and completely restore you. (1 Corinthians 12:9)
Being hurt was an event; healing is a process! The key to you receiving your healing is Forgiveness! Forgiveness is a choice! (Mark 11:25) You may be a Christian on your way to heaven, but if you are holding onto forgiveness, it is blocking your blessings! Un-forgiveness blocks you financially! Un-forgiveness blocks your healing! Un-forgiveness blocks your relationships! Unforgiveness blocks your peace and happiness! Un-forgiveness blocks you from My purpose! Un-forgiveness blocks Me working in your family and in your marriage! Have you wondered what is hindering God from hearing your prayers? Un-forgiveness hinders your prayers!
The Word of God is true; if you do not forgive – you will not be forgiven! (Mark 11:25) Stop right now! Right where you are and ask God to heal and restore you. Forgive yourself of all your sins of un-forgiveness, including the things you have done to yourself and others and ask God to heal you where you hurt! He will! You did not deserve to be hurt! Ask God to give you the grace to forgive anyone who has sinned against you and allow love to flood your mind, heart, emotions, heal your broken heart and make you whole! He is here right now to heal you and make you whole.
