Growth Rings
Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law, day, and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither whatever they do prospers. (Psalms 1:1-3)
My Precious Child, the ring on the inside of a tree may seem insignificant and totally hidden from view, but year after year the tree’s rings are documenting the age of the tree, growing, and producing fruit. These rings are called Annual Growth Rings! Visible and invisible growth is taking place at the same time and that is much like your walk with Me; year after year you grow and produce fruit. I promise you the closer you draw to Me the more you will look like Me and produce similar fruit. A tree grows in three directions:
1. Downward
2. Upward
3. Outward
You are growing in all three directions spiritually even though you can’t see it. Though you cannot see it with the naked eye, the root system of a tree is a downward growth, and it is continuing daily to develop. A tree is identified by its fruit. (Isaiah 37:31) If a tree is good, its fruit will be good. If a tree is bad, its fruit will be bad. (Matthew 12:33) It is the same with your walk with Me–you show what you are by what you produce. A tree’s roots go downward in growth and progress is being made. Your roots are going deep and spreading wide in the soil. (Jeremiah 17:8)
Though the storms come, and the winds blow, you will not be moved because you have deep and wide roots. (Psalms 1:1-3) Perhaps others cannot see the growth process in you, but I see, and you know it! When you bear fruit upward it can be seen and is visible with the eye, it is open and apparent for all to see and enjoy. You have Annual Growth Rings and I have prepared you for such a time as this. I am about to catapult you right into the plan and purpose I have for you, but it has required a preparation process.
