Grace, Knowledge, and Peace be Multiplied to You!
May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.
(2 Peter 1:2 NLT)
My precious child through knowledge – grace, and peace are multiplied, but your faith must become strong first through the righteousness of God. (2 Peter 1:2) As you grow and mature in the Word and fellowship with Christ, righteousness comes first, then knowledge comes second. It can’t be reversed. You can’t expect any revelation from God without holiness. Holiness opens the doors to all the treasures of God. Everything that goes into a life of pleasing the Father has miraculously been given to you to complete your assignment by getting to know Him personally, and intimately and fellowshipping with Him, that’s how you please God.
First God brings you to a place where you, like our Lord love righteousness and hate lawlessness. (Hebrews 1:9) You were given absolutely terrific promises to pass on to others -your tickets to participate in the life of God after you turned your back on a world corrupted by lust. (2 Peter 1:3-4 Message) If you had not confessed the sin in your heart, the Lord would not have listened. (Psalms 66:18 NLT) So, don’t lose a minute in building on what you’ve been given, complementing your basic faith with good character, spiritual understanding, alert discipline, passionate patience, reverent wonder, warm friendliness, and generous love, each dimension fitting into and developing the others.
With these qualities active and growing in your life, no grass will grow under your feet, no day will pass without its reward as you mature in your experience with our Master and Savior Jesus. Without these qualities you can’t see what’s right before you, oblivious that your old sinful life has been wiped off the books. (2 Peter 1:5-9) For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory. (Colossians 3:3-4) There is a hidden place in the Father where Satan cannot touch you, you must dwell in the Secret Place of the Most-High God and abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalms 91:1) You are so privileged once you are born-again of God – He has this hidden place for you.
