Doubt Will Cost You Every Time
My child if you want to do great things for Me and build the Kingdom, it will require faith. Faith is the confident trust in Me that you believe what you do not see will happen. (Hebrews 11:1) How do you get that kind of faith? By hearing the Word of God. (Romans 10:17) Faith comes by hearing so you not only must read My Word, but you must speak it out loud to hear it.
Barak was a man of faith and a military leader during the reign of Deborah a judge of Israel. He was a courageous leader and is in the ‘Hall of Faith’ in Hebrews 11 along with Gideon, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel and all the prophets. By faith they overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what I the Lord God promised them. (Hebrews 11:32-33) Barak united warriors from the tribe of Israel and led them to victory over their Canaanite enemies. As courageous as he was, he had a moment! Have you ever had a moment where you doubted? Doubt will cause you to lose the full blessing I have for you! In the end, he had enough faith to do what I asked Him to do but it was under one condition and that was Deborah, Judge over Israel went with him. (Judges 4:4-7) That was not My plan. I desire or you to place your trust in Me alone – not in people! (John 7:16-18) She was a woman of God, a prophet, and an intercessor over all Israel in addition to being a judge but that was not what I asked Barak to do. Barak respected Deborah’s authority, which set him apart from most. He honored her as a leader even though she was a woman. She agreed to go with Barak, but told him clearly, ‘you will not get the credit for this!’ (Judges 4:8-9)
They went to battle, and Deborah told him: “Charge! This very day God has given you victory over Sisera. Isn’t God marching before you?” (Judges 4:14) I rerouted Sisera and his troops. Running for his life Sisera headed for the tent of Jael, wife of Heber the Kenite because he and King Jabin were on good terms. Jael stepped out to meet Sisera and said, “Come in, sir. Stay here with me. Don’t be afraid.” So, he went with her into her tent. She covered him with a blanket, and he fell asleep. While he was sleeping Jael drove a stake through is temple and he died. (Judges 4:21-22) His troops were defeated! Though Barak and his troops fought the battle, Jael took out the leader and received credit for the victory. Trust Me and have faith in Me then you will receive the full blessing I have for you! It will be by faith that you defeat the enemy! (Hebrews 11:6)
