Don’t Be Deceived

Don’t be misled-you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So, let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time, we will reap a harvest of blessings if we don’t give up. (Galatians 6:7-9 NLT)

My beloved child, Paul said, ‘I admonish you to stop allowing people to deceive or mislead you.’ Paul was saying, to question the validity of what someone is teaching. The King James Bible says, “Be not deceived, for God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. (Galatians 6:7-9) The word ‘deceived’ in Greek means ‘to lead astray, wander, stagger, be led off course, be affected by someone’s outside influence, and lead in the wrong direction. When used in the New Testament, this word describes a false teacher enslaving those who listen to their teaching causing spiritual bondage. Paul was rebuking the Gentiles for deception being a weakness; he plainly said, “Stop being deceived!” In due season you will reap IF you faint not or give up. The law of sowing and reaping is not just a spiritual law; it is a universal law. You do not have to believe it, but it’s true. Whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. Whatever you sow, that is what you are going to acquire or reap:

Sow love, and you will reap love.

Sow kindness, and you will reap kindness.

Sow patience, and you will reap patience.

Sow forgiveness, and you will reap forgiveness.

Sow money, and you will reap money.

Sow bitterness, and you will reap bitterness.

Sow strife, and you will reap strife.

Sowing applies to your finances, your marriage, your relationships, and every area of your life. God is a God of multiplication; you never get back what you sow; you always reap more than what you sow. It is the law of God, and there is not one thing you can do to change it. Those who rebel against this universal law wonder why this or that is happening to them. My question is, what are they sowing? Instead of challenging God’s ways, which are so much higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9), don’t you agree it would be wise to get in alignment with God’s plans?

The Word of God does not return void, but it accomplishes everything it is sent to do. (Isaiah 55:11) When you sow a financial seed, always bathe it in prayer as it leaves your account and enters the Kingdom of God. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to create the right climate for your seed to take root and grow to produce a harvest. It takes time for your seed to grow and mature in the Spirit as well as the natural. When you sow, keep on planting for a continual harvest, and don’t give up. The word faint in Greek means ‘to relax or loosen up your giving,’ for eventually, you will faint. If you reap what you sow, why not start planting the same seeds to guarantee that you will get the harvest you desire?
