Desperate to be Blessed!
The path of the just is like the shining sun that shines brighter unto the perfect day. (Proverbs 4:18 KJV)
My child, Jacob, stole Esau’s birthright with his mother, Rebecca’s help. (Genesis 27) He went through twenty-one years of testing and trials when he had the revelation of the ladder and the angels ascending and descending, but I was faithful to My promise. (Genesis 28:12) The night he had the revelation, I revealed Myself to Jacob, saying, ”I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land, for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you. (Genesis 28:15) It is My goodness that leads you to repentance. (Romans 2:4)
Jacob did much repenting when he realized his sinfulness. Many things will happen in your life – when the veil is lifted, you will see how tender and merciful I genuinely am. Laban had deceived Jacob and changed his wages ten times, but I did not allow him to hurt Jacob. He said to Laban, unless the God of my fathers, the God of Abraham and Isaac had been with me, surely now you would have sent me away empty-handed. God has seen my affliction and labor of my hands. (Genesis 31:42)
After many years, Jacob was returning to the land of his birth, and his heart was filled with fear. If he ever needed Me, it was now! He sent his wives, children, sheep, cattle, camels, and donkeys on and he wanted to be left alone with Me. Jacob was alone with Me and I wrestled with him until the breaking of the day. I saw Jacob’s need and came down to meet him. I wrestled with the supplanted – (the one who takes over or takes someone else to place on purpose). I fought with Jacob breaking him, changing, and transforming him. (Genesis 32:24-26)
His name Jacob means deceiver and his wives were liars until he had an encounter with the angel of the Lord. I changed Jacob’s name to Israel. Israel means God contends or one who struggles with God. Esau had the power to take away everything Jacob had and execute vengeance on him, and he knew it. (Genesis 27:41) Jacob knew that the only one who could deliver him was Me, the God of his Father. He met Me there alone lean in his soul and bankrupt. (Genesis 32:24) At daybreak, he refused to let go! He declared, ”I will not let go until you bless me!” (Genesis 32:26) Oh, how much more you need to get alone with Me to be broken and transformed! You must get alone with Me by yourself to receive a revelation of My grace, love, and mercy of My plan and purpose for you! My beloved, won’t you come away with Me to a quiet place and spend time alone with Me? (Mark 6:31)
