Credibility
Beloved, does the life you live back your credibility? Do you walk the walk and talk the talk? Your life as a role model gives you credibility, then the fruit will follow you everywhere you go. Jesus went to Jerusalem for a Jewish Feast. In Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate is a pool, known as the pool of Bethesda; five covered porches surround it. Hundreds of people sick with all kinds of diseases, the blind, the lame, and the paralyzed, would lay on the porches. A paralyzed man who was there had had a disability for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, He asked him, “Do you want to get well?” (John 5:1-6) The sick man said, “Sir, when the water is stirred, I don’t have anybody to put me in the pool. By the time I get there, somebody else is already in.” (John 1:7) Jesus said to him then, “Get up! Pick up your bed and walk.” At once, the man was healed; he picked up his mat and walked. (John 1:8-9)
The man was healed on the Sabbath, and the Jewish leaders told him, “It’s the Sabbath; the law forbids you to carry your bed!” But he replied, “The man who made me well said to me, ‘Pick up your mat and walk.’ They asked him, “Who is this fellow who told you to pick it up and walk?” He said, ‘I have no idea!’ After that, Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, ‘See, you are healed! Go and sin no more, or something worse may happen to you. (John 1:10-14) The man went away and told the Jewish leaders that it was Jesus who had made him well. But Jesus defended himself. “My Father is working straight through, even on the Sabbath. So am I.” The Jews were not only out to expose and kill Him because He was breaking the Sabbath, and He was calling God His own Father and putting Himself on a level with God. (John 1:15-18)
The Jewish leader’s legalistic is an excellent example of My people perish for lack of knowledge. (Hosea 4:6) Make sure you know the truth because the truth sets you free. (John 8:32) Jesus said, ‘what the Father does, the Son does. The Father works around the clock, so does Jesus and the Holy Spirit, all three being one. The Father and His Word are credible! Those who are led by the spirit of God are called the sons of God. (Romans 8:14) Anyone who believes in Jesus Christ, our Lord, will do the same works He has done, and even greater works, because Christ has gone to be with the Father. (John 14:12) Do you see the fruit in your life? The life you live will back your credibility!
