Consider the Consequences
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will reap. (Galatians 6:7 NKJV)
My beloved child, have you ever noticed how Satan tempts people to sin and makes it look so fun, beautiful, or the in thing to do? However, he never tempts us by revealing the consequences. Alcohol commercials are always presented as fun at a football game or sports event. He doesn’t mention the consequences of drinking can be addictive and lead to even drug addiction or you could lose your family, go bankrupt, and everything you have ever worked for. He doesn’t mention if you drink and drive if you get stopped, you will go to jail. The devil doesn’t tell you if you drink and drive with a child in the vehicle you could lose your child. Nor does he mention if you’re in an accident and someone is killed you will probably go to prison. There are always consequences to the decisions you make. The decisions you make create your circumstances.
He promotes women’s rights, abortion, and so much more, but he doesn’t mention the psychological trauma that follows an abortion and murdering a baby. The devil never mentions the dirty feeling of being used after sleeping with your date that haunts your relationship with your husband and marriage years later. He doesn’t mention the fear and panic that will grip you every time you get a letter from the IRS because you cheated on your taxes. There are serious consequences to sin. Always. Without exception. The consequence of sin is death. (Romans 6:23)
Think about this… Adam ate the forbidden apple his wife Eve offered him, and at that very moment their eyes were opened, and they realized they were naked and felt shame. They felt so ashamed they sewed fig trees together to cover themselves. (Genesis 3:7-8) Satan told Eve her eyes would be open, and she would be like God, knowing good and evil. In one sense he was right. Their eyes were opened but in an ugly way. Experience She knew it well, but she was also separated from it. She also knew evil because she was saturated in it. Through her own experience, she was deeply ashamed. Whatever a man sows shall he also reap. (Galatians 6:7) Always stop and consider the consequences of what you are thinking about doing!
