Communion
When He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is (represents) My body, which is [offered as a sacrifice] for you. Do this in [affectionate] remembrance of Me. ” (1 Corinthians 11:24 Amplified)
My beloved child communion is the meal that heals, and it is also a wonderful time of fellowship with the Father. You have a wonderful heritage of faith under the shelter of the blood of Jesus. The disciples were together with Jesus the night Judas betrayed Him. He broke the bread and picked up the cup, and gave thanks. God reminds us in His Word that we are to put Him in remembrance of His Word – let us contend together; state your case, that you may be acquitted. (1 Corinthians 11:23-25) Think about this! Jesus gave thanks for His shed blood and broken body beforehand; what an overwhelming thought. He was bruised, beaten, and broken for your healing in your mind, subconscious, psyche, emotions, heart, soul, Spirit, body, in your finances, relationships, business, job, and ministry. He took the stripes on His back for you to walk in healing and wholeness in every area of your life. (Isaiah 53:3-5 NLT) Only your spiritual man who has been born-again can conceive such a thing!
He also gave thanks for His blood He was about to shed for your sins and mine. The shedding of His blood represented the New Covenant that was ratified and established in His blood. (1 Corinthians 11:26:32) You and I can now walk in liberty and freedom once we repent of our sins. Old things are passed away, and all things are brand new. The moment you repent, He buries your past and remembers it no more. (1 John 1:9) You don’t need to remember the past either. (Psalms 103:12) God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that we have been saved!) He raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Jesus. (Ephesians 2:4-6)
The Father takes a child of faith into a place of rest (Hebrews 4:1-14), gives you a language in the Spirit, and makes you know that you no longer belong to the old law. Since you have believed, and Christ has come into your heart, you are now the eternal seed of truth and righteousness in you. You are now a New Creation in Christ, and your flesh will begin dying away to make room for the spiritual man. (1 Corinthians 5:17) One man is taken away, and a new man has taken on until you are absent from your body and present with the Lord. (Isaiah 43:26) When you receive communion, it takes you from the natural to the supernatural by faith. The riches of heaven are in front of you! Fear not! Only believe! The Father has opened the treasures of His Holy Word to you. Communion is part of sanctification. The Father desires to sanctify you, separate you, so you have perfection in love. (2 Corinthians 5:8) Do not speak ill of a brother or sister in Christ and not slander them whether it is true or not. He desires for you to take the high road!
