Come to Me and I Will Heal and Restore You
My child, there are mysteries that I would have you understand such as why the east and west are so significant. In Hebrew the word ‘Kedem’ means east. It is the most important direction. In Jerusalem, the temple was built according to the ‘Kedem east.’ It had to face the east! Why? The altar of sacrifice was on the east side. The Holy of Holies was on the west side. Everything in the temple existed on an east-west range or scale. (Exodus 27:9-19)
On the Day of Atonement, (the most important day of the year) sacrifices were made by every family on the east side of the temple and at the closing of the day, the sins of every family were symbolically removed as far as the east to the west. Why is that so important? The earth is a sphere; it sits on an axis and rotates from the east to the west. Why are the east and west more significant than the north and south? The north and south can be measured by the North Pole and the South Pole, but the east and west have no poles to measure the distance. The poles limit the distance, but the east and west are immeasurable, and they go on forever, never-ending. ‘Kedem’ also means everlasting! (Leviticus 16:11-14)
All this is a shadow of the atonement of Jesus the Messiah, My Son who died on an old, rugged cross for our sins. You no longer must make sacrifices! You have been given access to come boldly to the throne of God and there you will receive mercy and find grace in the time of trouble. (Hebrews 4:16) He has removed your sins as far from the east is from the west once repented of and He remembers them no more. (Psalms 103:12) The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him. (Psalms 103:1-22 NLT)
Come to Me and I will forgive all your sins and heal all your diseases. I will redeem you from death and crown you with love and tender mercies and fill your life with good. (Psalms 103:4) Stop a moment and think of the love, mercy, and grace I have extended to you because of the cross! Come to Me, Jesus the Messiah, and allow Me to love you and heal your sickness and disease! (Matthew 4:23-24)
