Character, Strength, and Wisdom
Beloved, thanks be to God who always causes you and me to triumph! (2 Corinthians 2:14) You are an overcomer by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of your testimony. (Revelation 12:11) You will have to conquer many tests or battles with the enemy opposing you. However, you are not alone. There are times the battle will be in your mind; speak the Word only and defeat the enemy. (Matthew 8:8) Yet other battles will be in the natural. Count every adversity as joy! (James 2:8) Why? Because each battle, you become stronger, you gain wisdom, and your character is built. Be thankful for those who challenged you to grow because God will even use your enemies to help prepare you for where He is taking you. Adversity and battles are necessary to prepare you for where you are going. Heavy Battles and intense adversity are essential for you to realize you cannot make it alone, recognizing how weak you are without Christ. Oh, but, in your weakness, He is strong! (2 Corinthians 12:9-11) Do you know how a General becomes a General? He has fought and won five wars. It is the same in your spiritual walk; the enemy will oppose you.
An Overcomer knows the importance of getting up every morning and putting on the whole armor of God that they will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. (Ephesians 6:11) For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle, you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the devil’s fiery arrows. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. (Ephesians 6:12-18) Be grateful for the battles, adversity, and every person God uses to prepare you for your assignment!
Pray with me:
Father God, I want to thank you so much for every battle and adversity You have allowed me to walk through, preparing me for my destiny. I am so thankful for every person you allowed to be used to strengthen my gifts and character, even when it looked negative. Help me always to have the right attitude. I need your help to walk in love even when my enemies are being used to build my character. I thank you for preparing a table for me in the very presence of my enemies. (Psalms 23:5-6) You are a mighty awesome God, and I praise Your Holy Name. Amen.
