Be Made Whole

But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ, the Nazarene, get up and walk!” (Acts 3:6 NLT)

My beloved child, think about this, Peter and John had no college educations and the only training they did have was as fishermen. But they had been with Jesus, and they had a revelation of the power that is in the name of Jesus. They had gone with Jesus and handed out bread and fish after Jesus had multiplied them. (Matthew 14:13-21) They had sat at the table with Jesus often gazing into his face. Regularly, Jesus had to rebuke Peter, but He manifested His love through it all. (Mark 8:33) Jesus loved Peter the disciple who stretched Him. Peter was a hothead and quick to act without thinking, however, Jesus was patient and loving with him. (Proverbs 14:17) But Peter said, “I am here to tell you there is power in Jesus and His wonderful name will transform anyone and heal them. Fellowship with Him so you can get to know Him as the Lamb of God, God’s beloved Son upon whom was laid, ‘the iniquities of all mankind’. (Isaiah 53:6)

You and I owed a debt we could not pay, and it was growing day by day until Jesus paid a debt He didn’t owe and freed you and me of being responsible for that debt. (Galatians 3:13) He redeemed us from all debt and freed us of our sins. Poor Peter and John they had no money, but they had great faith. (Acts 3:6) They had the power of the Holy Spirit, and they had God! When you have God and nothing else – you have it all! Peter and John went to the Temple one afternoon to take part in the three o’clock prayer service. (Acts 3:1) As they approached the Temple, a man, lame from birth was being carried in. Each day he was put beside the Temple gate, the one called the Beautiful Gate, so he could beg from the people going into the Temple. (Acts 3:3)

When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for some money. Peter and John looked at him intently, and Peter said, “Look at us!” The lame man looked at them eagerly, expecting some money. But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ, the Nazarene, get up and walk!” Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man’s feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened. He jumped up, stood on his feet, and began to walk, – then, walking, leaping, and praising God, he went into the Temple with them. All the people saw him walking and heard him praising God. When they realized he was the lame beggar they had seen so often at the Beautiful Gate, they were absolutely astounded! They all rushed out in amazement to Solomon’s Colonnade, where the man was holding tightly to Peter and John. (Acts 3:1-11 NLT) Do you need healing?

Declare this with me:

I declare and decree on the authority of the Word of God, be healed! Be thou made whole. Resurrection life lives in you, be healed in Jesus’ holy name. He sent His Word and healed them all and that includes me! (Psalms 107:20-22)
