A Shepherd’s Heart
My child a Shepherd provides and protects from predators and leads you. He feeds his flock, and He will carry the little lambs in His arms, holding them close to his heart, and He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young. (Isaiah 40:11) If the Shepherd is struck down – the flock will scatter and wander in the wilderness without protection and be devoured. My sheep have been scattered without a Shepherd, and they are easy prey for any wild animal. (Ezekiel 40:5-10) They wandered through all the mountains and all the hills, across the face of the earth, yet no one has gone to search for them. Therefore, you Shepherds hear the word of the Lord: As surely as I live, says the Lord, you abandoned My flock and left them to be attacked by wild animals. And though you were My Shepherds, you didn’t search for the lost! You took care of yourself and left My sheep to starve. I now consider these shepherds My enemies and I will hold them responsible for what happens to My flock. I will take away their right to feed the flock and will stop them from feeding themselves.
I am the good Shepherd. (John 10:14-16) The good Shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep. A hired hand will run when he sees a wolf coming. He will abandon the sheep because they don’t belong to him, and he isn’t their shepherd. And so, the wolf attacks them, and the sheep scatter. The hired hand runs away because he’s working for the money and doesn’t really care about the sheep. There are so many people on the earth who are without a Shepherd – and they are My chosen people! The Messiah the protector of Israel – Yeshua – Jesus is the answer! My sheep have scattered throughout the earth. My Son Jesus is the true Shepherd and Keeper – the Messiah for all. If you live without Him you will end up wandering through life – lost, unprotected, and without hope which are the signs of being Shepherd-less!
From the beginning of time, it’s been told – in the end the people of Israel will return to their Shepherd, and you can too. I will bind up their broken hearts and heal their wounds and keep them as a Shepherd and so it is for you. I am the great Shepherd and My sheep know My voice and no other voice will they follow. (John 10:27) Come to Me all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28-29)
