A Narcissist/Jezebel Spirit

“But I have a few things against you: You permit that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat food sacrificed to idols” (Revelations 2:20).

Beloved, do you know a narcissist/Jezebel? How do you handle your relationship? First, you must understand you are not dealing with a person; you are dealing with a spirit. Below is a secular video of a narcissist. The world calls that spirit a narcissist, but God calls it a Jezebel spirit, and this spirit has no gender. A Jezebel spirit moves fast in relationships, and they marry someone they believe they can control and manipulate. They play the game well in courtship; they are Casanova. They will wine and dine you, dance and treat you like the princess you know you are and tell you what they believe you desire to hear – it’s hard to believe it’s real. It’s not real! However, they want to win you when they get you; then they don’t want you.

Their target is a people pleaser. A people-pleaser wants to fix everyone. You can’t change or fix anyone; only God can. If you are a people pleaser, I want you to know you are enough without being an overachiever! You don’t have to be extra! You are enough! You do not have to do anything to be loved and accepted. A healthy relationship/marriage does require both of you to work together with God at the center. However, you can be real, and you can be you! You don’t have to fix anyone! Just be who you are. You are loveable! You are enough! People from really good families fall for a narcissist/Jezebel spirit because they believe everyone is like them – honest and trustworthy. That is a lie! Everyone is not honest and trustworthy. I used to believe the lie, so I am qualified to speak to this. I just wanted to help others. God anointed me and called me to deliver the captives and set them free so that He can heal and restore them. It’s a gift! However, a gift can destroy you or make you. In my younger years, the gift brought me pain. In my older years, I have great discernment and wisdom and know the difference. People must want to help themselves! You can’t fix them, so stop trying! ‘Love people but trust God!’

The Love of Christ draws people to repentance. (Romans 2:4)

God gives you a spirit of discernment for a purpose. If you have a red flag at any time in a relationship, or a check in your spirit about the person or what they are telling you, STOP and LISTEN! Don’t walk in denial! A narcissist/Jezebel spirit packages themself as someone who wants to take care of you, and they will say, ‘you don’t have to work.’ This is a classic lie from a narcissist/Jezebel – ‘No one is ever going to love you the way I love you!’ Some people believe that it is romantic! That is a lie! It’s like the song: every move you make, every breath you take, I will be watching you! That is a narcissist/Jezebel theme song! If a narcissist/Jezebel spirit feels their partner turning away, they will love-bomb you to draw you back in. It’s like an addiction! They will confuse their partner. They will say, ‘that never happened, or I didn’t say that! You’re crazy! Until you believe you are! Remember this: ‘What you consistently hear, you eventually believe!’ You are not the problem!

God is not the author of confusion but of peace. (1 Corinthians 14:33)

If you are in a relationship with a narcissist/Jezebel, you will end up becoming an Ahab in the relationship and do everything you can to keep the peace! Ahab believes he/she is submissive, but they’re not – they become subservient, bending over backward, serving the person who thinks they are entitled. I know firsthand, many years ago, I was married to a Jezebel and became Ahab, and both spirits must be broken. Usually, a Jezebel spirit is verbally and can be physically, spiritually, and sexually abusive! The 90/10 rule – we tend to put 90% of our energy into the most toxic relationships because they demand our time and attention – leaving 10% of our time for the healthy, good, loving relationships in our life – when it should be reverse. Narcissists/Jezebel’s are a full-time job. The world says they are great, but the Word reveals the truth. How much better would your life be if you put 90% of your effort into the healthy, good relationships in your life and 10% into the unhealthy relationships? You would be healthier for sure. Your relationships should be respectful, kind, loving, compassionate, moral, and on time. 

Love is patient; love is kind. It does not envy; it does not boast; it is not proud. It does not dishonor others; it is not self-seeking; it is not easily angered; it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. (1 Corinthians 13:4
