A Humble Spirit Will Serve You
My precious child don’t be boastful, proud, or have a haughty spirit. (Proverbs 16:18) If you have a high and mighty attitude, be repent quickly lest you fall, or worse, destruction overtakes you. Many people who are successful do not give Me the credit for their success. Yes, they work hard but I am the One who gives them the power to get wealth for Me to establish My covenant with your forefathers. (Deuteronomy 8:18) Remember what happened to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon when he became boastful and prideful? He wanted all the credit for his success, but it didn’t take long for him to be humble. (Daniel 4:2-6) King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream that troubled him, have you ever had a dream and you just couldn’t shake it? (Daniel 4:13-18) Pay attention, the Holy Spirit is speaking to you, as I was trying to Nebuchadnezzar. He asked Daniel to interpret the dream. (Daniel 4:8)
Daniel told him the large tree he saw cut down with only a stump and its roots left meant: the size of the large tree, abundant fruit, and shelter of the tree represented Nebuchadnezzar and his providing for his kingdom. The tree cut down represented the King and he would be driven out and isolated from people for a time then he would be restored because the roots and stump remained. Daniel begged the King to repent of his sins, but nothing doing! (Daniel 4:19-27) Twelve months later, he walked out on the roof of his palace, and he boasted about his power, greatness, and how magnificent the city was he built with his own hands (he was a legend in his own mind). Instantly he became like a beast in the field eating grass like an animal, his hair was like feathers and his nails were long like claws. (Daniel 4:28-33) After some time he came to himself, and he was restored to his throne. In the book of Daniel – King Nebuchadnezzar told of the events that happened. He acknowledged that I the Lord God of all creation had humbled him, and I can humble anyone who becomes boastful and full of pride. (Daniel 4:34-37)
My beloved, I hate pride, if you want to boast – boast only of Me. (1 Peter 5:6-7, 1 Corinthians 1:31, Jeremiah 9:23-24) How do you humble yourself? You kneel! Kneeling is to lower yourself, humble yourself. Kneeling is an act of submission – submitting yourself to Me the Lord your God and My divine will. James 4:10) This word kneel in the Hebrew means barach – it means to bless and kneel. It is My nature to bless, I gave you My greatest blessing: salvation, redemption, and eternal life. To bless is to barach and to barach is to kneel – to kneel is to lower yourself. For Me to give you salvation I must lower Myself – to bless you requires the greatest lowering of Myself. I descended to the world humbling Myself in the form of man, submitting Myself to man’s mockery, abuse, condemnation, submitting myself to judgment, to crucifixion and death – the highest of all lowering. He who kneels is He who blesses – salvation. By My kneeling I bless you! It is My desire and nature to Bless You! Daily examine your heart and ask Me to create in you a clean heart and renew a right spirit within. Humble (bow down) yourself before Me the Lord your God then I will lift you up in honor!
