You Already Have Everything You Need
Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
(1 John 4:4b KJV)
My precious child, true prophecy, always encourages! Think about this if you are an encourager, ‘encourage means to put courage into someone!’ When you have the urge to encourage someone – be obedient – it may be just what they need. Look at Saul, the first scripture in the bible about him says, ‘Kish was a wealthy influential man, and he had a Son named Saul who was the most handsome man in all of Israel, he was head and shoulders taller than anyone else in the land.’ (1 Samuel 9:1-2) The Lord had told Samuel the previous day, “About this time tomorrow, I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin. Anoint him to be the leader of my people, Israel. He will rescue them from the Philistines, for I have looked down on my people in mercy and have heard their cry.” When Samuel saw Saul, the Lord said, “That’s the man I told you about; he will rule my people.” (1 Samuel 9:15-17) Samuel prophesied to Saul! Saul’s response was, “But I’m from the tribe of Benjamin, the smallest tribe in Israel, and my family is the least important of all the families of that tribe! Why are you talking like this to me?” (1 Samuel 9:21)
Samuel told Saul, ‘I have received a special message for you from God.” (1 Samuel 9:27) Then Samuel took a flask of olive oil and poured it over Saul’s head. He kissed Saul and said, “I am doing this because the Lord has appointed you to be the ruler over Israel and save them from their enemies. (1 Samuel 10:1) This will be the sign to you that the Lord has appointed you to be a leader over His special possession. God is speaking to someone reading this right now telling you to do something bigger than you, and I hear you saying, ‘God, why are you telling me to do this, I am a nobody!’ If God plans something for your life, and He speaks it, God’s power is within you NOW to see it come to pass. You already have everything you need! Your life can be changed entirely by the Word of God. God’s Word is accurate, and it’s probably one of the most powerful resources because God always confirms His Word with two or three witnesses. Confirmation is the unity of the Holy Spirit.
Samuel brought all the tribes of Israel before the Lord, and the tribe of Benjamin was chosen by lot. Then he brought each family member of the tribe of Benjamin before the Lord, and the family of Matrites was chosen. Finally, Saul, the son of Kish, was chosen from among them. However, when they looked for him, he had disappeared. So, they asked the Lord, ‘Where is he?” The Lord replied, ‘He’s hiding among the baggage, (attacked by insecurity).’ (1 Samuel 10:20-22) Are you hiding among your life’s baggage because you are insecure? Let me establish this, ‘You can run from God, but you cannot hide from God!’ The spirit of insecurity attacks everyone at some point in their life! I have met many people, rich, poor, pretty, handsome, of every size, successful, holding high positions, on television, and radio, and all people have one thing in common at some point in their life, ‘ a spirit of insecurity-inadequacy attacks.’
When God speaks to you to do something bigger than you, and Satan attacks you with insecurity, and you ask, “Could God use me to do something big for the Kingdom? I am a nobody.” Mr. devil will whisper in your ear, ‘Who do you think you are? You are a nobody!’ Tell Mister Devil; that you are short, ugly, toothless, a liar, powerless, and all you can do is roar and make a lot of noise! Say this with me: Greater is He in me than he is in the world! (1 John 4:4) If your vision is bigger than you, you can be confident it’s God’s vision!
