Take the Limits Off God!
Beloved child of God, I just returned from a Women’s Retreat on the Texas-Oklahoma border and preparing to leave for another. I was a speaker and ministered Sunday morning, I had the privilege of praying with each of the women individually. There was a lot of healing and deliverance that took place throughout the weekend. During the weekend, I heard Holy Spirit repeatedly say, ‘Take the limits off and trust Me!’ He gave me this scripture for the weekend:
For I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you no one can close. (Revelations 3:8)
I believe this is a Word for someone reading my devotional. One of our activities on Saturday evening was to light paper lanterns at the shore of Lake Texoma. There were three in each group and each person had to light a lantern and let it go! After my group was finished without thinking I went to a group to assist them. One of the young women was frustrated because the lanterns were hard to light because the wind would blow them out. I held one corner of the lantern and noticed it had been on fire and about a 6” length x ¾” tall area. I heard in my spirit: ‘I ain’t no quitter!’ (Philippians 4:13) Then I heard, ‘Whatever you do, don’t quit!’ I began praying in the spirit, and suddenly the lantern was lit, and we let it go! As we were releasing the lantern, I heard the Holy Spirit say, ‘Just because you have been through the fire doesn’t mean you will not soar again!
I want to encourage you. You may have been through hell and back, but you need to know God is preparing you to soar! The door you keep trying to open might be too small. Let God open the right one for you that may be bigger! Get prepared to go higher! Joseph was innocent but he still had to go to prison for 13 long years because God was preparing him for a big promotion. Joseph learned to serve others with a good attitude. He said, ‘If I have to be in prison I might as well be the best prisoner they’ve got! Recognizing what you are walking through is just part of your process in the journey. He was hated by his family, but he chose to forgive them. Forgiveness no matter what has happened in your past, is a choice. Forgiveness is a choice the same as love is a choice. You are being transformed into a greater dimension.
Allow the Holy Spirit to minister His love for you. Receive! Preparation is the most important season for each of us. It is also important that we do not rush this season and we get everything we are supposed to let go and receive this season. It’s part of your process. You have no idea how close you are to promotion! Don’t quit! Pay attention to what the Holy Spirit is saying to you and obey! It will be worth the wait. One day soon, you will wake up to a promotion and a Big Door opened before you to walk through. I want to remind you of the treasure God has deposited inside you!
